Going to try a little self filming this season

Saw these clamps from GoPro at target for $6.99 on clearance. Was hoping it would work for the iPhone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Damn it Jeff, not what I wanted to hear lol. Was hoping to put it off until I decide with string or bow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LIVE from the woods 2016 Edition! - 7th Year, lets make this happen...

Forums wouldn't let me post earlier, but I counted 13 doe today, 3-4 at a time, so they may be the same deer walking around busting me over, and over, again. Probably busted at least three times today. The ground hunting struggle is real folks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I'll probably install it myself, strings on eBay are showing $60-$75. I just don't know if it's worth it being that a new bow is probably $200-$300 of the same class. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeh, after the incident, I drew it back far from my face and held it there for a bit [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would say it's about 1/3 cut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi, I tried to post this in the archery section, but didn't find one. If I missed it, feel free to move it there. So with a lot going on this year, I wasn't thinking I would be hunting bow season this year, but the urge is strong and I couldn't resist the chance when things lined up for me today. But due to the lack of shooting, tuning, sighting, and exercise, I was going to limit myself to under 20 yards. That was until I was busted numerous times today by deer just out of range, 25, 30, 35 yards. I decided to tune my bow in the field and risk spooking some deer during the middle of the day. I adjusted the poundage, tuned, and sighted it in at 20, 30, 40, and 50. Unfortunately, while tuning and sighting the 50, I nicked the cable with my broad head(really upset I did that). See above puncture. I took the risk and drew the bow anyway, and all seems well, for now. Finished tuning and hunted until dark, only to get busted yet again by a mature doe. Not sure if I'll be able to bow hunt before gun season, but if I do, I'll probably use this bow until it either pops, or until season is over and I replace the cable/bow. I'm going to venture and guess that this is not worth repairing, and it's a replace item. Also, the bow is probably a 7-9 year old bow, wondering what your opinion would be as to how to go about this situation. New cable, new bow, or something else. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So this is how the DMP lottery works. Before Oct 1st, there's a set percentage for each WMU, such as HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW, NONE, and PP Req. these chances are set from the day licenses goes on sale, until Oct 1st. Then the process is closed until Nov 1st. During this time, the DEP determines which units has leftovers and issues them on Nov 1st free of charge to those already paid for the lottery. On Nov 1st, the units listed are 100% chance for anyone that wants them. At the end of the day, the list is reevaluated and areas that have met the target tags issued will be removed from the list, and on Nov 2nd, a new list will be issued and that list will also be 100% chance until Nov 3rd, and so on. It's been this way for many years.

Same chances of getting them early morn, or late at night, as long as it's on the same day.

Good luck this weekend Dave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cranberry allows rifles for small game.

I don't hunt pheasant at Sterling, but know that the permit can either be mailed to you, or picked up in person. The office is in the forest so you can do it in the morning then hunt.
-
If you intend to hunt pheasant only, you need the free permit from the office. If you intend to hunt anything other than pheasants, you'll need to pay the $5 permit fee at the office.

Ordered from 5 different walmarts and none accepted the order. Was on the phone with one of them that had it in stock, but won't honor the deal. Those that got in on the deal, congrats! And the icing on the cake today, Would have been nice to snatch up some, but oh well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If it's going to be a hunting bow shooting fixed broad heads, I would get it tuned and not worry too much about the point of impact for the time being. You would tune it by shooting through some paper and adjusting the rest and knock point as needed. If it's dual cam, you may need to time it as well. Next step would be to broad head tune. Then finally, adjust your sight to follow where the arrows are hitting. If it's not for hunting, and you don't want to mess with it too much, simply adjusting the sight to match the point of impact is sufficient. Make sure there is no physical damage to the bow, especially the limbs before drawing it again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Larry, if you have a memory issue, I can help in reminding you that you threw the first stone, and I'll be right here when you're ready.

Try Davis. I know they try their best to place orders for customers, but it's all dependent on availability as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
