As far as I'm concerned, if he wants to bust other's chops, he should be big enough of a boy to reciprocate. He claims no special exemptions, so he gets none. Because he's also an admin, I bust his chops on selective modding along with everything else. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I can attest to that! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Anyone Squirrel Hunt Tivoli Bay?

That Daystate looks legit. The tips coming off those usually happen in the .177 size pellets, never happened on my .25, yet. Good luck this season. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -

Wildcats, you seem like an intelligent and educated person. I'm sure you will do just fine. You're off to a good start and many good people have stepped up to offer a hand. G-Man and phade seen to be great people, I'm sure you're in good hands. We have a few misfits down here in the city that also recently started hunting, and happened to band together to share what little we know to cut that learning curve. It turned out to be a great experience of comradery(sp) that I've been missing since no one in my family really hunts as well. If you're ever down by us in the city, we'd be glad to have you join us, anytime. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

This is my very same thoughts. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

As a resident, if you purchase a super sportsman, you get 3 tags. If you purchase separately or after the fact, I don't believe you receive 3, only 2. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

If you need a few, I can tip you to where you can find some. Saw a few nice brand spanking new ones end of season last year. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

S., luckily for me, I don't use stands! Stands are for sissy's. I hunt only from the ground, like the caveman did back in the day. You won't catch me doing anything I'm not supposed to on your properties. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Unfortunately, we even have quite a few of those on here that advocate criminal activity on here, so I can just imagine the type of hunters "out there". Sorry you had to find out the hard way. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/8312.html Here's a link I found after taking Bow Addict's advice. Maybe that'll shed some light on the subject. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I'll go do that, thanks for the pointer. I didn't mean any offense to you, or the hunters. I hope crossbow comes back for this very reason. Good luck, and keep doing what you're doing. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Anyone Squirrel Hunt Tivoli Bay?

Which air gun jammed? Deet for skeeters and permethrin for ticks. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
I'll take another look into the regs, I must have missed it. Care to point me to the right page? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I simply asked a question and stated that it MIGHT be illegal to hunt with a crossbow this year. If this was a legal hunt, all to you for providing this for these fine folks. If not, it should be discouraged to keep others from thinking its OK to hunt with an illegal implement. I simply asked if it was sanctioned by the DEC or not. There's no need to get nasty. Instead of getting all defensive about it, tell us more of how you were able to make this legal so others can benefit from it. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I wouldn't call it luck, as I've gone and been to places that I wasn't so happy with. It's a matter of looking and not settling. I was lucky that he's only 45 minutes from me. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

If this happened this year, that gentleman on the left most likely hunted illegally. Crossbows are illegal this year. Was there a special exclusive permit from the DEC for this hunt? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I wonder if they may have had MORE fun if crossbows were allowed? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I believe there are regulations to how far you need to be from a water source. 100' comes to mind. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Great advice there. I'd share a neat trick someone showed me when the knock comes loose from the arrow. Grab some paper or even a McD's napkin and get it between the knock and arrow and plunge it in, rip off the excess and align knock to fletch, done. Learned to paper tune my own bow pretty much as soon as I realized I can do it on my own. For other things that requires a bow press, I bring it to my favorite shop and wait for my favorite guy to work on it. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Awesome info there LoneHunter. Thanks for posting it. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
