When there are plenty of food available, animals tend to breed like rabbits. If not controlled, the food source will quickly deplete and a massive famine will plague the the predators and you'll see a massive cycle until the food source recovers, but the lions may or may not recover from such a shock in the ecosystem. A quick search showed this. http://www.defenders.org/african-lion/basic-facts A lioness can produce as many as 12 pups a year, and the first batch of 4 would be ready to hunt after 11 months. With those numbers, I would say from 300 to 500 is entirely possible within a year. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

A few people use handguns to hunt deer and bear as well, but I don't see a problem with them. I don't know many that hunts with an airgun either, but it has done more good to the sport in the last decade than any other technological advancement for hunting. Banning or objecting to the use of an implement for game solely based on the fear it will take over a special season does our sport no good. I do believe a separate discussion of whether an implement like this belongs in a special season or not is a good one, but should not be combined into a single thread. If Dom's fist wife won't take the cat, maybe his second, or third would? Good luck with the felines buddy! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

It's a huge selling point the DEC tries to push for those unsure about living in NY later down the road but still wants to hunt here. Most lifetime licenses pay for themselves after 15 yrs or so, but much faster if you were to move out of state and still hunt in NY. As of currently, this discussion is about the "airbow" and its functions, not the season where it belongs. I think jumbling the two together is premature and often bring out comments that doesn't help in the discussion of the weapon's effectiveness. No idea what you're trying to say. Maybe I can plug it into google translate. Nope, that didn't work either. There's only so much google translate can do as well. Sorry. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I never used to like pickles. But I have an open mind and try it under good recommendation(usually my wife). I now appreciate a good pickle now and then. There's a trap and skeet range that I visit now and again and nearby there's a deli that we would stop by. In said deli, is some imported pickles from Germany. I can't remember the name, but we had some and it was good, so bought some for the wife. Speaking of which, we are probably due to visit the range soon. You didn't see or know anything in terms of actual illegal activity in this case. In fact, this is the case in most of your stories. You're going by the "assumption", based on your bias towards your neighbors that they are doing something illegal. I think some folks were trying to be polite and stating it sugar coated for you. Not everyone out there making a shot during daylight hours is a criminal. Unless you know of an ordinance that prevents them from lawfully discharging their weapon, they don't need your permission to fire off a round. You're pretty quick to judge others, but when others call you out, you get all offended. Ever think why is that? P.S. I noticed that you edited several of your prior posts, which would indicate that you fixed up any spelling and grammatical "mistakes" and "typos" that occurred. I can only "assume" that what's left is your intellect. Kindle can't help you there this time. P.S.S. Don't bother to say it, I'll do it for you. STOP! HAMMER TIME! If someone is going to poach a turkey, do you think they stop and think, "hey, let me load a magnum turkey load because I'm going to poach a turkey today"? Can you also tell the sound from buck shot to bird shot as well? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I agree rob, killers are generally not stupid, and in most cases not even mentally ill. Now-a-days we tend to label everyone mentally ill when it doesn't suit our definition of sanity, but some could say Einstein was mentally ill as well. It's all about what one does with the knowledge they possess, for good, or for evil. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
If the lions needs to be culled, their corpses should be sent to anti-hunters doorsteps as a reminder of what happens when conservation is under attack. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Rob, first time I've heard of those reasons to not allow an implement to be used for legal harvesting of game. I guess the take-away from this is that we could come up with as many excuses as we want to not allow something, but there only needs to be only one good reason to allow, and that's expanded hunter participation. BTW, do you worry that the screws on your bow sight may have loosened, or that there may be some defective primer used on those factory ammunition that you bought? Do you check your bow string each and every time before you draw back to make sure there's no damage, or that the ... Well, I think you get my point. I go with neck sizing for my bolt action, and full length to bump shoulder back just enough to relieve a tight bolt. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Used to drive to Boston and back several times every few months. One time, I decided to see how fast I could do the route. I did it in 1hr 42 mins, five or take a min or so. Top speed was 137, speed governor on a 93' Acura. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
