  1. I have actually seen bobcat twice down in Virginia where I hunt. They actually have long bushy tails down there as opposed to the ones up here with the short nubs. Nice pics and video...would sure love to see one out in the woods one day!
  2. I would like to buy an automatic machine gun and just unload on the whole group
  3. Like the jousting pictures...guess the pre-rut is going on already
  4. I am in the process of introducing other adults to hunting...so I think teaching kids should not be an issue. These adults are just like kids that I have been teaching!
  5. Have not bowhunted turkey yet but in the spring I am considering getting those guillotine arrows.
  6. I think it is a porcupine...others think rabbit..what do you guys think?
  7. nice article....im still going to hunt them though
  8. I know that NYC euthanized around 1/4 million birds that live here in the bay areas this year alone after the plane went down in the Hudson. Pretty ridiculous in my opinion. They should allow for more lax hunting regulations...hell if NYC would let me go to the end of the road where the bay is I could kill 20 a day easily!
  9. I do not think you are out of line one bit and I think you took the proper precautions to make sure you were not out of line. So good for you! Next time the guy comes out tell him to suck on your barrel! hehe
  10. Good news...just got some permission to hunt on some farms a little south of the Poconos in wind gap, pa. It is about 30 minutes from me so I am pretty excited! I am going to be taking the farmer turkey hunting since there are an abundance of turkey where I have my house. He said where he lives there are no turkey but an abundance of deer so it looks like this will be a good deal for me and my new hunting friend! I will be hunting deer in the Poconos this Saturday but the following weekend I will be down in Wind Gap!
  11. Since you can only use it during gun season I see no point to getting one. I do like the crossbow for turkey hunting though...I am a much bigger proponent of using arrows to kill a turkey then shot. I can't wait to get me some guillotine arrows and slice a birds head open so I can get that body of meat untouched. Might get a crossbow for just that!
  12. yeah...i think the recoynx was a great purchase...i get great pictures with it all the time...bit pricey but definitely worth it if you are in to the trail cam
  13. nice video...especially of the pouncing...seen that on national geographic
  14. Yote, Turkeys with their grown up babies, and weasel or possum...not sure which in the last two.
  15. From my knowledge you need to have those out in the field for a while so the deer can get used to them. I own one and I never seem to have any luck when it comes to deer. I can only leave the blind up though the days I hunt since I am on public land so it does not seem to serve any beneficial purpose for me when deer hunting. The turkey are much different for some reason...why that is I have no clue.
  16. I think mother nature knows how to balance things out better than any human
  17. I get out at least an hour before the sun comes up and I will stay in the stand all day. If a house is close I like to come in for two hours during mid afternoon around 1. Got no problem staying out all day...
