I have never brought any of my ATV's to the dealer for maintenance. I do all that stuff myself (oil,lube, filters etc) The dealer charges way too much. Fortunately my brother in law is a mechanic at one of the local dealerships. He does side jobs out of his garage so anything more complicated goes to him.

Yeah I guess it's not fair to say that all of those shows are a joke but unfortunately most of them are. What turned me off for good was an episode of that Jeff Foxworthy show. The owner of a fenced in ranch was out with his son in law. They were glassing some big bucks eating at a feeder that looked to be pretty far away. They decided not to take any of these deer and began to "sneak" across in front of the deer. When the camera panned back you see that those deer were only around 50 yards away and were not scared of the two guys at all. The deer just looked at them for a second or two and went back to eating. I mean it was bad.

Last summer I was bent over, pulling weeds in front of my house when a yellow jacket started to buzz me. I swatted at it in kind of a downward motion and it flew into the front collar of my shirt. It was stuck between me and my shirt. I tried to grab it and squeeze it in my shirt but it stung me right between the tee's. The very next day I putzing around in the garage with both doors open. I took a big swig of my cold beer and felt something ,other than beer, in my mouth. Before I could spit it out I felt the tip of my tongue catch fire. it was another yellow jacket that made it's way into my beer can. No respect.

Agree. They are a joke. I don't watch any of them anymore. The worst ones are those Texas, fenced in, hunt over a tripod feeder, pass on big ten points and the deer don't seem to be spooked by humans shows. Some of these guys should be ashamed IMHO

I register and insure both my ATV's. It's so cheap I can't justify not doing it. Registration for both is around $25.00 and full insurance for both is about $145.00 I would say get insurance unless your machine is a total piece of junk. Last year one of my ATV's ended up going off a snow mobile bridge and into a creek about 8ft. below. Thank god no one got hurt but there was about $3000 worth of damage to the ATV. Insurance paid the whole thing and my rate didn't even go up.
