I love old hunting photos. I have many from years ago and even a few of my Grandfather hunting Grouse with his SxS and driving a Model A into the woods.

I shoot my T/C Hawken into the ground or an old stump at the end of each hunt to empty it. I do not trust leaving it loaded as I have had many hang fires and misfires when I have done so.

Life expectancy has far less to do with a nation's healthcare system, than a nation's demographics and culture. A nation's level of unhealthy lifestyles that contribute to obesity, lung cancer, liver disease, diabetes, heart disease and stroke affect life expectancy more than the quality of care a nation's healthcare system provides.

By definition, all government purchases are third-party purchases. The government spends other people's money on things it won't consume. It doesn’t care about the price or the quality. Thus, there will always be waste in government spending. That is why, to paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, government should do only those things that a man can’t do better for himself. If 300 million Americans were free to buy health insurance for themselves, just as they buy their own life and home and car insurance, then that little gecko on television would offer us health insurance with a little more coverage for a little less cost. And he wouldn’t be the only one. Insurance companies and hospitals would be working night and day to get our business. Quality would go up, and prices would go down. It’s already happened with laser eye surgery. It used to cost $2,200 per eye. Now it can cost as low as $500 per eye. That’s the way free enterprise competition works…every time. But when the government gets involved, costs go up, waste and fraud go up, essential medical services are denied or unavailable. These are the hallmarks of government healthcare bureaucracies around the globe. The sooner we make health insurance a first-party purchase again, the sooner Americans will get the health care they want…finally. Presented by Bob McEwen

During gun season, most taken at the crack of dawn by me. Archery can find deer moving at any time of the day here.

Notice in this video the blaze orange fletching on the arrows in "deer vision" in the close up photo near the end (2.54 mark). See how bright they are compared to the rest of the picture? That is how deer see blaze orange. It appears to them to be much lighter compared to the rest of the back round and it stands out. They do notice it, especially if it moves. It certainly cannot be said to help conceal your form when wearing it.

Health insurance companies contribute billions a year to politicians through their political lobbies. The profits they make are the result of lawmakers regulating healthcare costs so the insurance companies can make these profits. Our elected officials are to blame for the problems with our healthcare industry, as they have been regulating it for decades now, and getting huge donations to do it, to the benefit of everyone making profits from it. BTW, many hospitals in the US are going bankrupt, thanks to politicians screwing up all of their elective procedures during the virus. The ACA created many problems for many people who had affordable healthcare. Many saw their premiums skyrocket, many had to pay thousands in tax fines for not being able to afford it, and many lost their healthcare, or even their jobs, altogether. Get the government out of healthcare as the first step to fixing the problems. Think other countries have less expensive healthcare? Add up all the taxes they charge their citizens for it over their lifetime and divide it by how much they use it and see how much they really pay for each use. It's far more than the average America pays. Plus Americans can get it when they need it. That's why when a Canadian gets put on a months long waiting list for cancer treatment, they come to the US and pay out of pocket so they can get treatment right away.

I only hunt private land and never see another hunter on it. I keep an orange knit hat in the backpack if I think I need to be seen for some reason, but hardly ever put it on. Never understood why hunters need it if people are supposed to be sure of their target before pulling the trigger. I wore it more in my younger days, but it never seemed to keep jerks from shooting in my direction. I believe deer do see it, especially when they are close. Just not as well as we do. That's why archers wear camo.

When the government allows public sector employees to unionize and contribute money to one side of the political spectrum in order to get fat raises at taxpayers expense, then push leftist propaganda on the students by force, to indoctrinate them in leftist ideology, that is the worst form of Socialism that exists. If something is funded by the general tax fund, it must be objective or it must be stopped. It's fine to have certain things paid by taxing everyone across the board for the betterment of society. But when those things become detrimental to society, it's time for the people to step in and stop funding their own demise, especially when alternatives desired by many taxpayers are denied funding by a government that gets support from a public sector union.

I disagree. We are asking for an investigation based upon actual illegal events being witnessed. Leftists simply made up unfounded accusations about Trump in an attempted political coup. That was a conspiracy. This is a demand to follow the Rule of Law. I don't see any conservatives crying, screaming and acting insane about this election. All they want is a legal investigation to sort out what happened in this country's most unprecedented presidential election which involved things the country had never allowed to happen before. Anyone who doesn't think the election should be investigated because their man won, is advocating destruction of all future election integrity and the legitimacy of any future president. There is nothing funny about destroying the integrity of our elections. That's the fastest way to destroy any democracy.

All the more reason to demand he not be certified until this election goes to the SCOTUS.

Biden wants to give unemployment benefits to illegals, put a $200 tax on every semi auto and large cap magazine you already own and allow lawsuits against gun makers that would find them liable for the criminal misuse of one of their guns, effectively putting them out of business with legal fees. I ask again, how dumb can people be?

Biden's plans will make such stories very, very rare in the future.

How does anyone vote for a candidate without finding out what they plan to do to you when they are elected? I don't mean what they promise to do for you, which they won't. I mean what they plan to do TO you, which you won't like. Did anyone question Biden about anything he plans to do to us? Then again. Biden actually volunteered to take guns away, give illegals citizenship with welfare and food stamps and raise taxes, and people still voted for him.

And what tax rate do they force upon people from the beginning of their working lives until death? I'll bet if all the years they paid for the "free" healthcare were added up, that band aid would be pretty expensive. And how many people are not able to get the healthcare they need, like cancer treatment or a kidney transplant, because it's rationed or just denied by the government to people it doesn't think will benefit as much as others will? When government controls healthcare, it controls the people. that's a basic Marxist demand from one of Karl Marx's first books.

All teachers unions in America are majority leftist and support Democrats, because they bargain with them for higher pay and kick back high donations when they get raises. They spew all sorts of Democrat talking points to their students all the time, hoping they will vote for Democrats when they come of age. only the parents can correct that issue when they become aware of it, and often it is not possible because it's too late. That's the reason for the vast increase in home schooling in the US today, not to mention the huge desire for charter schools and private schools. Did your professors ever talk about politics at SIU? if they did, they shouldn't have been. It only serves to teach students what to think, and not how to think. As far as TV goes. I stopped watching cable TV years ago and network TV soon after. I prefer to search info from expert sources online, and there are many credible one's to choose from. You will come to understand what I'm saying soon enough, if Biden takes over. BTW, how do you feel about having the student loans of others transferred to you with a huge increase in the national debt that will raise you taxes and increase inflation in the next few years? Isn't it wonderful those colleges gave students idiotic degrees in weird areas that have no job opportunities in the real world? Biden thinks it is.

You won't need to get old to have it happen to you. The people in positions of power, and those with enough money to bribe them, will always be taken care of at the expense of everyone else. The elite's have made "smart" decisions based on the corruption they have propagated. When government controls all healthcare, the corruption in healthcare will increase exponentially. Laugh while you can. P.S. Study any country with government run healthcare and see if I'm wrong.

Plus, the elites will always be able to move to the front of the line while the rest of us wait for months, or don't get the treatment we need because of rationing. It is only then the people who swallowed the promises will realize they were lied to. P.S. There will be fewer Doctors as well. Most will not work in any sort of government controlled healthcare environment. The ACA caused many doctors to retire.

You have not lived long enough to have experienced what can happen to you when you allow the government to take away your freedoms and liberties. You still have the youthful ideals that seem great when you're young, and stupid when you gain wisdom. No doubt your education was designed to indoctrinate you into this way of thinking. Society must allow freedom and make individuals accept responsibility for it to thrive. Not all taxes are oppressive. I'll pay for the things I use. Taxing me to pay for the things I don't use so others can use them, is Socialism. BTW, many of the publicly supported items you mentioned do not benefit anyone other than the people subsidized, and that buys their votes. Do you want to pay to grow more corn for ethanol in your gas, which makes corn more expensive for everyone and only serves to lower your gas mileage, putting out the same amount of pollution per mile as non ethanol gas? It's perfect example of expensive government stupidity. Leftists believe in Collectivism, where what is good for all, can be bad for some. That is tyranny against the individual. Choose to be part of the herd if you wish, but someday you will wish you were a free individual.
