Biden will be a disaster, an expert opinion
Grouse replied to Grouse's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Analysis by Arnold Ahlert: "Nothing has been more cynical — or more transparent — than the elevation of a man with increasing mentation problems to the most powerful position on earth. Quite simply, there can be no 9:00 a.m. "lids" for the leader of the free world. When the realization of that becomes undeniable, America will end up with a president so inherently unlikeable, she would have likely lost the Democrat primary vote in her own state. Nonetheless, as columnist Jason Whitlock rightly noted, the media successfully made this election about loving Trump or hating him — and hate carried the day. When Trump is no longer around to hate? Americans may belatedly discover the ideology they voted for is virtually destined to make them equally miserable. When "save the planet" doubles electricity bills and gas prices, kowtowing to China makes it the most powerful nation on earth, and amnesty, open borders, and an exponential increase in foreign workers devastate American employment opportunities — while the people who champion such policies remain wholly immune from their consequences — things may take a decided turn for the worse for a party that has promised social utopia is just around the corner. In short, Americans will learn the true measure of putting those who hate the county in charge of it. They will learn that when talent and ambition are yoked to grandiose schemes of wealth "redistribution," more productive Americans will sit on the sidelines. When merit is replaced by quotas and equality of outcome, not opportunity, they will learn that incentive and coercion are not interchangeable in terms of producing prosperity. They will learn the diktats that became routine during the pandemic — wholly absent legislative input — may become a permanent part of American governance, and that "emergencies" will be declared whenever suppressing dissent becomes necessary. Above all else, they will learn that those who despise not just America but the nation-state itself won't really care if America prospers or not, since it is merely one market among many, and its workers are little more than cogs in a globalist machine that will seek labor where it is cheapest — and most compliant. They will discover what it truly means when a nation that has long revered inalienable rights and individual liberty gives way to one where justice is capricious and where constitutional rights give way to the "greater good" as it is defined by some of the most contemptuous people in the country. Assuming the courts reject all challenges of vote fraud, Donald Trump remains president until January. As commander-in-chief, it behooves him to make every effort to declassify and expose every aspect of the rampant corruption that has attended his four years in office, even if it means firing one uncooperative bureaucrat after another until he gets to those whose patriotism transcends their partisanship. A government of, by, and for the people demands nothing less. Liberal columnist Glenn Greenwald rightly labeled the inability to count votes in a timely manner a national disgrace. For oligarchs who disdain not just America but the very concept of the nation-state itself, that's a feature, not a bug. For decent Americans, it's a tragedy." -
I'm putting this here as well as another thread because people need to understand what is about to happen if Biden takes control. The Senate majority is currently a battle the GOP could lose. If they take the Senate, let me remind you what Biden, Harris, Schumer, and Pelosi will do. They will insist Trump "stole the Supreme Court" and endeavor to pack the Court. They will also endeavor to pack the Senate by advancing statehood for Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico. In a final blow to our Republic, they will attempt to abolish the Electoral College. Of course, to ultimately succeed in their effort to overtake the Rule of Law with their statist rule of men, they must undermine the last defense of American Liberty, the Second Amendment. Biden and Harris will start chipping away at that "palladium of the Liberties of the Republic" on Day One. The leftist's here are so punch drunk in love with Trump's loss, they can't see the disaster that is coming because of their hate.

If this election outcome is allowed to stand, in spite of all the evidence of voter manipulation and fraud, we will be watching the death of America.

Just proves she's a woman with class that respects the country and it's institutions. Now show a Democrat that said the same to Trump when he was elected. -

What's corrupt is her displaying her race disingenuously while attacking Americans as racists in order to win votes. She also called Biden racist, corrupt and demented, but changed her tune when he made her VP running mate. The women is a liar and a cheater, and it goes way back to her early days trying to get into office any way she could. She is the farthest thing from respectable in American politics today. If she becomes POTUS, she will declare war on everything she hates about America, including white men, hunters and gun owners. I'll ask for your opinion when that happens. -

When it is used to advance ones self in the political arena and win votes, it is just another form of corruption. People who are corrupt will stop at nothing to win. And when they win, we lose. -

It ain't over, until it's over. This fight is not up to the media to decide. Here's where the legal fight is taking us. -
Thomas Sowell is known to be one of the most intelligent economists in the history of the US and is considered to be completely non-partisan in politics. His opinion has always been respected and unchallenged. This video explains why he believes Biden will be a disaster for America. The video has clips of Biden saying in his own words, how he is going to force you to comply with his demands. From taxes, to gun laws. to education. It's all about oppression. We are in for unprecedented abuse from the left as long as they have the power to do it. God help America.

Sportsman/Gun Owners and the election
Grouse replied to Farflung's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The 2nd A issues that affect everyone have nothing to do with hunting. They are attacking our right to self defense during lawless anarchy. NY is especially bad in that regard and they are affecting many hunters. We are most certainly way past "unregulated access" to firearms in 2020. To say few who operate within the confines of the law run into the problems that I mentioned is a myth, and will become much more prevalent in the future with widely expanded abuse of these useless laws. For example, if an anti-gun administration were to succeed in banning all "military style assault weapons", they will then move on to other semi auto rifles and even shotguns. Then they will attack semi auto handguns and then move on to all handguns. That's what "progressive" means in actuality. Don't believe it? Look at all the other countries around the world that have already done it and study the history of how they did it. It's all right there to see. Don't trust what the government says. They tell you what you will believe while they constantly try to expand their own power and control. That's what Biden is doing right now. -

I disagree. Wildlife habitat management and public land remaining open is one issue. Attacks on the 2nd A are a second issue, completely detached from the first one. Many hunters have been affected by attacks and infringements on the 2nd A. Transferring a shotgun to your grandson, lending one to a friend to hunt with, being "red flagged" by an anti hunting neighbor or not being able to buy a gun or ammo due to an erroneous NICS denial without any route to appeal, would be only a few of the things that come to mind. All of these things have been put in place by anti-gun politicians like Biden, knowing full well they have no impact on crime reduction. Why would any hunter want to gamble with their right to own a firearm being converted into a government sanctioned privilege? That's what a Biden administration threatens to do. -

"The final key in aging is time. While beef is often aged 21 days or longer, venison lacks the fat and connective tissue that make such a long age time viable. Over the years, I have tried various lengths of aging time. I have settled on two to seven days as the prime window for the highest-quality venison. Older bucks might benefit from a bit longer hang time, up to 14 days if conditions allow, simply because they have more muscle mass and connective tissue to break down." https://www.realtree.com/brow-tines-and-backstrap/the-great-debate-aging-venison Rigor Mortis: The Importance of Hanging Deer Learn how to achieve tender venison meat by applying these essential deer-hanging tactics during the rigor mortis period. https://www.petersenshunting.com/editorial/rigor-mortis-the-importance-of-hanging-deer/331287#:~:text=Rigor mortis is the stiffening,to tough pieces of meat.&text=This is achieved by hanging deer after field dressing. Sportsman/Gun Owners and the election
Grouse replied to Farflung's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Hunters and gun owners have no choice but to vote for Trump. Anyone voting for Biden is sacrificing their hunting and 2nd A rights for some other reason. I can't imagine what they think is worth giving up these rights for. Besides, how can anyone see what Democrats are planning to do with 2nd A rights and think it has anything to do with crime or criminals? Nothing they are proposing will affect the lawless and no data set says it will. So why are they pushing it? IMHO, because it has nothing to do with reducing crime. I think it will actually increase crime. I also think the Democrats know it will too. That's scary. -
The temperature of the meat is what is important, not the air temperature. Use a meat thermometer to check the temp of the meat. If you can keep it between 35 an 40 degrees, you can keep aging it. I find the longer it ages, the more tender it gets. If aged in this temp range, it won't spoil for weeks. Rigor disappears in any deer, of any age, within a couple of days. After that it's all about the meat fibers breaking down. I once worked for a prime beef freezer service and they aged sides of beef in a fridge at 38 degrees for weeks. I like to age my deer 7 or so days in the right temp range if I can. Never had one spoil and they are always very tender. As a young guy, I once killed, butchered and froze a spike buck the same day. Toughest meat I ever tried to eat. Learned to thaw it and let it sit in the fridge for a week to tenderize it.
