Oh yeah and btw when I review this paperwork with patients, I encourage them not to answer those questions. I educate my patients. Not my job to educate the arm chair guys here. I put it out there. Believe it or not. But when you go to your health care provider and they ask abut guns, feel free to stop back and say hey you were right. I doubt you will but honestly I do not care if you do or not.

well doewhacker, you claim to know where I am wrong please feel free to back that up. I would love to see it form a credible source. Everytime someone says something you disagree with, you insist on proof, but are never willing to prove your side because you just know it is right. Seems kind of one sided to me.

I am a nurse practitioner in an outpatient office. I did my research when the new laws came out. I had to. I get the new regs from the state and federal govt every year. I have to comply or they can shut us down. I have the documents in my office stating what we have to do. I think I did my research directly, not from the internet.. If that is not good enough for you guys ok.. I can not fix that. Good luck and I hope you never took any of the meds on the hit list in your past.

When you go to the Dr and they push the papers under your nose to sign about HIPAA, when you sign them, you are giving them permission to share your info. So you have nothing to complain about when they do.

Actually that question is part of Obama care regs. It is supposed to be asked by all dr's. Why do they need to ask me that question when I have no kids at home. who;s safety is he concerned with? This goes into your permanent health record. Then when they take a look through them and see you were on wellbutrin which is an antidepressant to help stop smoking, you are not qualified to have a firearm. And please do not try the hipaa laws crap. Most people give them permission to release the records. Down play it all you want, but I am in health care and have to be up on the regs.

Then ask the kids if there are guns in their homes kids say yes then do you feel safe after being told guns are bad. Kids will say no i do not feel safe. That day cops and child protective show up. You give up the guns or the kids. My only question would be how long did it take you to call the school and complain? When is the next BOE meeting and will you be there. I have been seriously considering changing the heat at camp to the propane heaters. I am tired of messing with the wood and having to get up in the night to feed the stove. But the wood is free just have to cut it. I am up in the air. I also do not go to camp much after deer season, so no need for the high end heat. Love the windows. I wish I had thought to do that.
