  1. You would still need carcass tags I would assume
  2. If I get any more powder, I will need a magazine. I store it in the storage building in my back yard. This includes black powder bh 209 and pyrodex for muzzleloaders.
  3. Careful shawn you will be called a hoarder lol
  4. lol just targets and pics of dead animals.
  5. If you pointed out something that was worth while or added to the conversation rather than your wise a** stuff it would be helpful. You have to be the big shot I understand. nobody knows it like you do. if you do not believer that just ask you.
  6. which was why I said it needed to pass this year before anything happened. The difference is this year he changed it to the control of the dec not the legislature as I said. Last year it went form budget to committee to get pushed around to be passed and never left committee. Some are on top of things just as much as you.
  7. Oh he will not get my vote either. It was part of the plan in the past. Remember that just because the dec gets control will not necessarily be better. They are loaded with bureaucrats too. Sent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2
  8. Matt used ot be a lt in my area of region 6 and lived down the street from me. He was a go getter then and I am sure he has not backed down much. He is a true asset to the Dept.
  9. that was the difference as I understand it. I am sure someone will dispute me. Most things the dec wants have to go through legislation and they make dec laws. This along with the crossbow will be left to the dec to regulate. It serves two purposes. 1 if it does not work out Coumo can blame dec. if it does work out he can take credit and try to get votes with it.
  10. it will pass through. As I understand it if it passes in the budget, it is pretty much a done deal. The changes he made was to give the control to the dec and not the legislature as most dec laws are done. That is the part that killed this last time. it never got out of committee to be voted on. If this clears as suggested it simply means the dec will have the say on it. Now that is not always a great thing either. They will cut hack and chop away at it to make it perfect for every wmu etc. And they will mull the finer points until they are sick of mulling it too.
  11. He mentioned he wanted to move forward with it in the state of the state and put it in the budget to be included in the legislative process.
  12. I learned from my father in law. many hours in his room before I ventured out and got my own equipment. When he passed away, I got all of his equipment and supplies. he lived next door to me at the time and was my neighbor long before he was my father in law. Read all you can and if you decide to jump in, get the best you can afford. I use lee equipment with no flaws. My biggest upgrade was a digital powder scale. What it has saved me in time and accuracy was well worth it. I totally agree find someone to mentor you if possible.
  13. I was going pretty much every weekend from spring to deer season. I shot trap and sporting clays weekly. I was stocked up well before any shortages simply because I would shoot a lot. I would take an arsenal and sen the afternoon unwinding and shooting. I went three times last summer.
  14. The other sad part of it is and I am a guy who started stocking up about three four years ago. I also mentioned on here that you might want to think about it then. But even though I mold bullets for plinking in all my centerfire and muzzleloaders. I still do not shoot anywhere as much as I used to for fear I will not be able to find primers and powder in the future. I was looking for varget for the 7-087 and 300 savgae. My local guy called me last week and said he finally got in a powder order from last may. I got 4 pounds of varget and some 4064 and 4895 as well as 4831. I have tons of brass primers and bullets. i still want to conserve.
  15. I did not realize that cabins were a competition. But if you feel better winning go forth. BTW mine is off the grid also. Which has nothing to do with your original attempt to throw another dig. Like I said I go there to avoid a lot of different people. It seems to me you sure assume a lot about me and how I live my life. (which by the way is none of your business) . I did not know I was on your mind so much. Kind of wondering about that now too.
  16. I have my own tshirts I sell for my group. I have not seen the ones you are talking about. What group is selling them? I think I will order one or two
  17. i actualky live in a house in a town. My cabin is where i go to escape people like you. And that is a scientific fact Sent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2
  18. When the market tanked a whike back i bought a large amount of ford stock as they did not take the govt bailout. I sold it about a year ago made out well. I have.my own retirement in the mattress Sent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2
  19. to buy votes from guys who want to hunt from your roof. this has been proposed in the past and never gets out of committee
  20. umm ok well good for you. I think it is still too close to my buildings. My property line who cares as long as they hunt on their own side and we make an agreement to recover.
