I still hunt with a bear grizzly 45 pound recurve. During the special season, I use a sidelock and flint lock. I also hunt with a sidelock shotgun for small game. During the regular season, I will pull out the inline sidekick. I cut my teeth on a sidelock barrel. I still love it.

I disagree. The city folk can be left behind. he is being told he is wrong. Lots of people have said they are not going to financially support the organization any longer. We have the numbers to win this thing. Separating us into us and them will not get it done. The more we shake up the city folk, the more likely they will be to energize their base to vote against us. Forget them and energize our own base, not try to tear it apart. That is what King is doing. We have the numbers to do this just by gun owners if they get off their cans and get involved. Call everyone you know who is progun ask about the safe act educate them get them registered and importantly get them to the polls. Also talk to any not pro gun people and do the same. If every gun owner did this, we would own this election. Unfortunately most will sit home and complain. That is a day or two out of your life to make some contacts. That i show this is going to be won.

The funny part for me is I never had any interest in any firearm of this type until all this crap started. I own hunting and recreational firearms. Now I want the ny model 3 from stag arms. I was at the rally. There was no chest pounding or threats made. The take away message was vote cuomo out. Tom King is playing cards with two decks. One with us and one with the politicians. He is winning in the politician game. All he is doing is laying the ground work so if his efforts fail, he can blame us and not have any bad rep with the politicians he has suddenly started to play with. Simple as that. Throwing in the towel because Tom King said what he did makes me wonder how committed people are anyway. To me it did just the opposite. I want to fight harder without his assistance.

I also did not see one shirt that said f cuomo. I did see some that said cuomo's gotta go. My groups shirt has a pic of an ar 15 and a musket on it crossed to symbolize what our forefathers fought to keep and what we are fighting to keep now. It also says Molon Labe. if that is bad, then I will be bad. Trump mentioned fracking as a way to get the economy going in this state and making ny the top energy producer in the country. Astrorino side stepped common core saying that was for another rally. No mention of abortion of the other things King claimed would be on the topic list. If you ask me he is doing a fine job of playing to the politicians. My group had donated over 5 grand to his organization to help the cause. We will not give anymore to him, as he has pointed us out as part of the problem. He is upset that no one wants to follow to listen? When is the last time anyone has heard anything form him about what we should be doing other than go to the press to get his name in there. Then if this fails, he can say see they drove people away. well guess what at a rally the people there are not going to be driven away. He is losing credibility every day.

stopped in Utica Basspro on my way home form Albany yesterday. A while isle of crossbows in there. I had to take a number at the end of the isle just to go look. The frenzy is starting. 2 crossbows in every house and 3 deer in the freezer. Oh yeah.

Most dealers in my area will not even touch them. Only 3 in my area and one is a motorcycle dealer who got his ffl to do this. He only charges the 10 bucks. I doubt he will keep doing it for long.

I have an s10 that is parked most of he summer. I ride the bike every chance I get. I have a trailer that I use to haul the 4 wheeler lawn mower etc as well as pellets for the stove. It does everything I need to do. I only drive 8 miles to work, so mileage not a real factor. However, I notice a big difference over the summer. bike and truck are both paid for, and I have been thinking about a car to add to the group for driving back and forth to work etc. Then I think with the payment verses gas I would save is tough to justify. I think when the truck goes, I may look into something like a jeep. I like the idea of all my gear inside the vehicle not in the back of the truck. I can use the trailer for deer etc. Just a thought. Plus when I do not have a truck, no one can ask me to haul crap for them. The only one in it is me almost all the time. Just my two cents.
