  1. We only shoot what we eat? That explains why my neighbor has shot two of his wives
  2. I am not in 3a I am in 6c. And they use it on my land. And not a dmap a land owner dmp.
  3. I just do not agree with the program. Why because i own land do i get an advantage. I could break up mine into 50 acre parcels like some do so we could all get a dmp. I am not doing the population any good then. This takes the thread in another direction and i apilogize. Just pointing out how one size does not fit all. Sent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2
  4. They are the same. If you own 50 acres or more ypu are guaranteed a dmp is all I do not use my land owner status ro bump someone who does not get that chance. I never felt myself privileged Sent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2
  5. Actually i could get a dmp every year if I chose to. I do not invoke my land owner privilege to get one. I had 4 preference points this year, and got turned down again. When I do get one, I sign it over to a young inexperienced hunter so thay have a chance to fill it. So I think I have a right to speak about DMP's. My point about Dmp's as you seem to miss it a lot is almost all here who are for AR seem to get a handful of DMP's every year they can use to fill their freezers. If they were not allowed that possibility, I doubt they would be so for AR if their hunting choices were so limited. So again I doubt very many of you would bother to hunt in my area if you had AR and no extra tags to fill.
  6. there are 6 million gun owners in ny cuomo won with 5 million votes total cast we need to get gun owners off their ass and vote and get them gone. But the ambivalence in this state is horrible. Most gun owners still think the safe act does not effect them as they do not own an assault rifle. The ammo background check hold off was intentional until after the election next year. that was the catalyst needed to piss people off enough to get involved.
  7. might be so but it is also the area where i can go hunting and not hear shots like a war zone all day and have to dress like a pumpkin to feel semi safe and we do not shoot deer 4 times after they are on the ground. i will take that any day
  8. Me too. I love the north country where common sense prevails Sent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2
  9. my point simply if i get one buck tag no dmp how enthused will hunters be. I doubt many of you would even hunt in those conditions. One size does not fit allSent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2
  10. Years ago I used to hear you are going hunting again. Then it turned into you are back already then it turned to do not bother to come back. Ahhh the cycle of life.
  11. I swore I was not going to go down this road again, but not all who choose not to wear orange are unethical nor thieves trespassers or hunting over your back. Off topic but I love how people dress up in camp paint their faces for bow season but then harp about blaze orange any other time when most people are shot at close ranges and could happen just as easy with a bow.
  12. When I grew up I had an aunt and my mom who hunted. They were always at camp with everyone else. It just seemed natural. So when I was married, My then wife decided to join in. She took the hunter ed class winked at the instructor and got her certificate and license. The first year she shoot a lot and got very good at it. She hunted twice and froze and that was the end of that. She kept going to camp and would cook etc. No one asked her to nor expected her to, but when we all came in it was nice ti have a hot dinner already. Anyway as a couple years went by, she got tired of being in her words the "camp B%$#h. She actually got upset about it and now we are divorced. So be careful what you wish for.
  13. How did hunters ever survive a season before blaze orange. Reminds me of people wanting to be taken care of by the govt. Expect me to be sure you do not shoot anyone. Not my responsibllity Sent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2
  14. How does one tag out with an area with no dmp and 3 on one side. We are concerned hunting numbers are low and we want to.make it tougher to get a deer. No wonder numbers go down. And all antler hunting not deer hunting Sent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2
  15. In the northern zone we do not have to wear back tags so people can see who I am through their scope. And it seems we have less trespasser problems. Maybe there is a correlation
  16. nope sorry. My only thought was if the grass was 6 ft high how would orange help unless they were 7 feet tall. Just my thought. And for the record I never said I did not agree with BO I do not agree it has to be mandatory.
  17. yeah right until next time. Think how cold it would be without global warming
  18. half of the story was about deer search coming to help
