Spot on!! Tho I have had a few ground shrink on me most others I was very happy I pulled the trigger.
-
Yeah me to, except i wish it was only $500. I now only use a hand full of lures mostly spinners, wacky worms and a few cranks for the bass.cheap Jigs for walleye. When my nephew shows up he usually goes home with a handfull of stuff every time he leaves. Made a few jointed plugs the other day for musky. Im really suprised at how well they go through the water. Was like wow I made that ? lol Haven thad a chance to get out and fish them yet though. My wife and daughter will be gone all next week so Ill get in more fishing than I can handle prolly then. Need to get out i can smell the pike on my hands already.

Yeah what he said. This is a free country you are allowed to say what you like and read what you like. If you dont like it then dont read it. No one makes you read it. Get sick of people who try to censor things just because it doesnt agree with there views. No one is ever going to tell me what I can and cannot say and I let them know it right up front when they try to stop me.

Hand made a few 7" wooden plugs out of pressure treated deck boards i had laying around the house the other day. Did a quick spray paint job and used fingernail polish for the eyes and stripes on the lure. took them down to a spot that i know alway holds a few nice pike and tested it out. 5th cast I had a large toothy critter take a wack at it but it think i yanked it out of his mouth before he could bite down or he missed it. Nearly blasted it a foot out of the water about 20 ft from the shore. nearly crapped my pants. I am suprised at the action of the lure its almost like a plastic jerk bait. slowly sinks and slides nice when jerked. it even wobbles nice on a slow retrive. going to make a few more when i get a chance. First two were a rough version that took me about an hr to make. going to spend a little more time on the sanding and painting next time. they arent pretty but pretty lures just catch fisherman not fish.

Ive never caught more 25" walleye in my life realing large plastics through deep holes in the suck. Got one yesterday down in johnsoncity. Have 5 so far this yr. Fished for 10 hrs for musky yesterday and got the walleye and a greedy smallmouth as long as the musky spinner i was using. No musky not even a swipe. They are a tough fish.

Decided to fish just for musky this yr in the suckyhanna and have come up with a 36 inch northern and Saturday caught a 42in pure bred musky. what a fight. I set the hook and that sucker was out of the water tail walking like a bass. what a rush. on a side note i took my daughter down one day and she landed a 40 in northern which suprised the heck out of both of us. Because she was fishing for carp with a wad of corn. Dont think ill ever fish for anything else. im ruined on them for anything else.

sweet deal man better than the little tiny 3 point set I found yesterday. they were both laying together on either side of the trail i was walking down. looked like the deer put his head down and they both fell off at the same time. but im still stoked to find a set after getting skunked last yr.

Its my understanding that hunters are the ones who do the population control. I would rather fill five tags and have a frig and belly full of meat than the coyotes and bears. If they do the job for us then what motivation does the state have for continuing using hunters as game managers. See a bear shoot it. If you dont like Bear meat donate it to someone who does.
-
Im for anything that kills them dead. They are everywhere now and with coyote's to they are doing a number on the fawns around one area I hunt. Had one fawn on camera last yr. One. Had one herd of about 9 doe and one fawn. Something is wrong there.

You should really wait till April to start working food plots with the tractor Sits.

Wolly could find them in 6 ft of snow. He has the nose of a coon hound the eyes of a hawk and the feet of a snow shoe hare.. No shed is safe even with snow.

Had nothing to do with AR's he just drank from a creek that had been tained by discarded viagra products. Looks like a yrs worth atleast.

My entire family has already left. I unfortunately cannot afford to move now so im stuck. For a few more yrs atleast.

Its all NY's fault the state is in the shape its in. The people keep voting the same lame politicians in every yr and giving away more and more of their rights. And from what Ive seen they arent getting anything back for it. Crime is still bad and getting worse I dont care what the trends say. We are now having atleast one stabbing or shooting a week here in Binghamton now. Use to be one a yr. Good Jobs are gone unless you work for the county or State or have a Masters Deg. Im leaving as soon as I can afford to. NY is a dump compaired to the other states Ive lived in.

Nice find!!! im still looking with no luck. havent seen a buck since the last week of gun season. All ive found is a dead head 6 point with a 14 in spread from back in 2012. I know because i had him on cam making scrapes behind my house then. Must have walked by his head a dozen times since then. Just happened to take a left instead of a right this time and there it was. No wonder I cant find any sheds if I miss a whole head for yr.

Snows off here and its raining hard today. Hope to get out and look around myself. Good luck.

I dont think this would be really safe, esp if you drop and arrow out of your stand and it lands facing you. Would be cool for hunting hogs though. http://www.outdoorlife.com/blogs/newshound/2013/02/bow-mag-new-broadhead-bullet

I brought it in and warmed it up and recharged the batteries and it hasnt done it again. Might have got a little condensation in it and froze something open IDK. -

I tracked a huge set of tracks about a mile the other day before it went off into the neighbors property, through a foot of snow and almost died from exhaustion. I couldnt imagine tracking in Adirondack snow for weeks on end.

Very sad to find out Larry Benoit died back in Oct at 89 yrs old. Not sure if this was discussed on here before. I have always enjoyed reading his books. “Mister,” he wrote, “if you aren’t in shape to dog a mountain buck and follow him for 15 miles, then walk out of the woods and be ready to do it the next day, and maybe the day after, and maybe for a week, then just be an armchair buck hunter. Don’t go out in the woods and kill yourself.” http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/17/us/larry-benoit-babe-ruth-for-hunters-is-dead-at-89.html?_r=0
