nothing more than a criminal......may have been slightly interesting if he actually lived off the land by trapping, hunting and fishing, violating people by breaking into their homes and stealing their property is far from impressive. -
as I was driving around this past weekend, it dawned on me that these scavengers are more likely to die from being hit by cars as they dine on roadkill then they do from the effects of lead poisoning......

I've used Eastern Taxidermy in Farmingville a few times for deer...no complaints, oldest mount is 18 years old and still looking great.

hate to say it, but if you live 250 miles away and the current neighbors do what you heard, you're not gonna stop it.......

not supposed to live trap and relocate....DEC has a licensing program for nuisance trappers, if you're the homeowner taking care of your own problem, they will direct you as how to dispose of the critters.

unfortunately, deer hunting has turned into a selfish, solitary sport for many.....

kind of like my earlier comment about the small landowner without the means to plant a food plot resorting to baiting in an effort to combat the loss of deer due to the neighbor with food plots.......that above statement could really substitute bait with food plot and it would sound the same.

maybe they want to try and avoid people taking excessively long shots by restricting them to only 200lbs.......anything more may tempt people to push the limits.

if someone was to participate in the early bear season or early deer season, would they use their 2013-14 license/tags that expires 9/30 or their 2014-15 license/tags that is valid starting 9/1?.....obviously there is a 30 day overlap between the two making them both seem valid.

my guess is that baiting is much like crossbows, there will be many who fight it every step of the way and condemn that method until it passes as law........then eventually they will slowly and quietly accept it, and quite possibly using it.

my guess is the anonymous tipster was probably someone from a gun range, another gun shop or another gun owner.......not many people who know nothing about guns have a clue about The Safe Act and would have no idea what's legal and not, come to think of it,not many gun owners know too much about it either.

do these guns need to be "permanently modified" to be compliant? maybe they weren't if the customer was able to remove/alter the modification.

I never have used one, but make sure you do your research and get one sturdy enough for a slug gun......their recoil is brutal and can be tough on cheap optics, I found this out after putting a cheap rifle scope on mine.

baiting is more widespread then people realize....just this morning I was on another hunting website and one of the threads was about 2014 antler growth, and sure enough, guys are more than willing to post their trailcam pictures of deer eating some type of bait that's been put out.......pretty sure these guys are hunting these areas and that's why the cameras are there.

how many guys don't hunt areas because their trail cameras don't show decent deer? I'm willing to bet that's why many put them out......just my opinion, no different then those who see food plots the same as baiting...if that thought makes me foolish then so be it.

right up there with trail cameras and the other crap that takes the guess work out of hunting.....would people not hunt if there wasn't a "booner" with nice G2's in their area? makes me want to puke when I hear that nonsense.
