  1. if it's unopened, just return it and get back what you paid for it...........
  2. pretty sure there was a firing pin issue that generated a recall at some point, not sure what years were affected.......for under $300 I'd buy it.
  3. that stuff can be pretty expensive, if you ever decide to do the installation you'll be sorry you sold it.......................
  4. wasn't McDonald's told to stop asking people if they wanted to "supersize it"' because people couldn't control themselves and had to say yes.
  5. yeah, I would think the snarling open mouth can hide a lot of defects..........never been a fan of open mouth mounts on many animals, How many hunters actually had an animal growling at them when they shot it? probably only happens on rare occasions when treeing cats and bear with the use of hounds.
  6. very nice, from what I've heard, cat mounts are very easy to screw up, especially the face, and if you've ever seen a bad one you know what I mean...........that guy did a great job.
  7. even new guns can be tough to get it they need to be ordered..........I waited almost 7 months for a T/C Icon, I eventually just gave up and got the T/C Venture with the weathershield finish.....shoots very nicely.
  8. -Columbus Day weekend for the youth hunt with my son. -first 3-4 days of regular. -pretty flexible for Bow, but more than likely 10 days or so scattered around the end of Oct. / beginning of Nov. -3-4 days for late muzzleloader.
  9. if it's pre 64, it's probably worth a bit more than you're paying for it...........
  10. on second thought, it looks like a mountain lion.......pretty sure I can see the tail.
  11. I don't believe it is...........maybe start with a mild bleach solution, just don't let it soak too long at first.
  12. I would start with something mild, can always work your way up to something stronger if it don't work.
  13. try to keep the "agree", "disagree" or "don't care" as the opening to whatever you want to say.....makes keeping the tally a little easier.
  14. this is what I came up with so far: Agree = 9 Disagree = 28 No Opinion = 7 (may be more but didn't read any lengthy posts, only the obvious) I didn't bother counting the ones who were "on the fence". and thee #'s are for mandatory AR's.
  15. I totally agree, and this is my biggest bitch about antler restrictions, my dad is 70 years old and it takes a lot for him to get out into the woods, this year he could have shot a nice 4pt....maybe his last, who knows.........but guess what? he couldn't shoot it.
  16. I'll take that as a disagree..........
  17. I can guarantee you this, antler restrictions will get more people to get disgusted and give up hunting than it will to recruit new hunters.
  18. Instead of everyone adding their thoughts on Antler Restrictions into every post about deer hunting, it would be nice if we could restrict it to one thread and see everyone's opinions in one spot. All I ask is your first word should be agree with them or disagree with them, after that you can add whatever you want to the discussion.
  19. I don't think it could be entered in the trophy books, they can tell it was not a wild deer and technically that deer is owned by the person who raised it....not free range........check out the link I posted about the Louisiana buck.
  20. http://www.petersenshunting.com/2011/12/01/high-fence-226-inch-whitetail-escapes-shot-in-louisiana/ here's an interesting story from a few year's back.
