  1. ThermaCELL- Olive Drab Appliance with Holster – I paid $35

    ThermaCELL - Refill Value Pack (includes 12 mats and four butane cartridges) – I paid $17

    Both are brand new, never opened. I bought them for the early CT season for mosquitoes, but haven't needed it for the mornings and haven't been able to hunt afternoons.

    I paid $52+Tax for everything at Cabelas in August.

    $40 takes everything.

    if it's unopened, just return it and get back what you paid for it...........

  2. I bet the on Im looking at is pre-64. Im seeing mixed reviews on line but I might grab it anyway, pending a little more research.

    pretty sure there was a firing pin issue that generated a recall at some point, not sure what years were affected.......for under $300 I'd buy it.

  3. I got this in trade for doing a friends fathers roof a few weeks back. I had plans of heating my garage this winter but lost interest in it so I'm trying to sell it. It would be great for a hunting cabin or garage with a wood stove. He bought it 2 years ago for $250. It has a rain guard and roof and wall brackets. Also has a clean out and cover. I believe its either 4 or 6 inch wide and double walled. Has about a 6ft pipe that goes through the wall and then 12 foot to the top of the roof. If anyones interested I can post a picture.

    that stuff can be pretty expensive, if you ever decide to do the installation you'll be sorry you sold it.......................

  4. fair enough, although by the size of most americans i'm not sure you're right :)

    and I guess my point was that with some things, it doesn't seem to matter what you tell people. Look at all the smokers still out there. Knowing, they're killing themselves.

    wasn't McDonald's told to stop asking people if they wanted to "supersize it"' because people couldn't control themselves and had to say yes.

  5. you are correct and from what I've been told, closed mouth is harder than open mouth.

    yeah, I would think the snarling open mouth can hide a lot of defects..........never been a fan of open mouth mounts on many animals, How many hunters actually had an animal growling at them when they shot it? probably only happens on rare occasions when treeing cats and bear with the use of hounds.

  6. Thanks...everything seems damp for lacks a better word-moldy and muddy from sitting for at least two years(my best guess). Is boric acid ( i use thus for ant bait) the same as borax detergent?

    I don't believe it is...........maybe start with a mild bleach solution, just don't let it soak too long at first.

  7. So is anyone tallying these up? It sounds like there 3 categories now

    1.   Agree

    2.   Disagree

    3.   I'd rather not issue a public opinion

    this is what I came up with so far:

    Agree = 9

    Disagree = 28

    No Opinion = 7 (may be more but didn't read any lengthy posts, only the obvious)

    I didn't bother counting the ones who were "on the fence".

    and thee #'s are for mandatory AR's.

  8. I totally agree, and this is my biggest bitch about antler restrictions, my dad is 70 years old and it takes a lot for him to get out into the woods, this year he could have shot a nice 4pt....maybe his last, who knows.........but guess what? he couldn't shoot it.

  9. Instead of everyone adding their thoughts on Antler Restrictions into every post about deer hunting, it would be nice if we could restrict it to one thread and see everyone's opinions in one spot. All I ask is your first word should be agree with them or disagree with them, after that you can add whatever you want to the discussion.

  10. I don't think it could be entered in the trophy books, they can tell it was not a wild deer and technically that deer is owned by the person who raised it....not free range........check out the link I posted about the Louisiana buck.
