while I agree with everything you said, here is the problem I am running into....
it does NOT have anythign to do with restricting guns. That seems to be the common answer I have hear people argue.
Having it a matter of public record that someone owns a gun doesn't make it harder to own a gun!
And, since the murders and mass shooting are done usually by criminals and unregistred guns, that argument wouldn't even hold up. The idiot politians can say, "well, we made everyone public who owns a handgun legally, but this was done by a criminal and an unregistred weapon, so we have no idea." That would just make the case for OUR side of the argument against it this stupid Act.
I don't get it.
ownership of handguns was public info before the safe act was enacted.....

what outfitter are you using? I went back in 2002, taking a Caribou was secondary to the total experience...........

There HAS to be something behind it or it wouldn't have gotten passed. There must be something somewhere that has an ounce of some rational thought. I just don't understand.
Just publishing gun owners would be even a waste of liberal's time. it doesn't serve them any purpose.
most of the Safe Act won't serve any purpose.......bad people will still do bad things, no matter how much they try to regulate.

It was just a political ploy by Albany to show everyone they're tough on gun laws.........there was no rational thinking behind it.

During the early part of the season, DEC drives around to the parking spots and kicks out the guys who park there overnight attempting to secure the spots hours in advance..just something to keep in mind.

do the genetics from a 1.5 year old deer taste the same as genetics from a 3.5 year old?..........that's my only concern.

I stand corrected...they are manchurian sika deer..........the formosan sika deer are the ones I was thinking of and are the ones found around Maryland....they look totally different.

makes me think I should be worried that I haven't been or not gonna be hanging trail cams on the 80 acres I just secured in CT, then again I'll just hunt it and shoot what I feel like
as you should....

if it satisfies your reason for hunting, shoot it, if not, don't.............

maybe it's a sign of hunter's not choosing work fields related to hunting and conservation.............someone has to do it, so who's to blame?

so is rattling adn snort weeze and option the or will it only scare away the bucks in the area ?
I think that all depends on age structure and buck to doe ratio..........not an expert, so maybe someone else can chime in on that.

def. not Sika

its only illegal if you get caught , if you are handicapped and want to go hunting and still love being in the outdoors and can not pull a bow back , why not go with it , this state is a joke when it come to the xbow issue
good thinking......

if nothing else, you'll have the cleanest worms on the lake.........

I noticed apples today, where I didn't even realize I had apple trees! Don't know if this is the first year that they've produced or what? As I was driving in the lane at camp, I noticed apples laying in my lane in 2 different spots! I thought WTH? Someone must be messing with me! Got out and looked, and sure enough, loaded apple trees! Had the place for 14 years now and don't ever recall having this happen before.
now that you've found them, trim them up for next year.........they'll produce more reliably if you get rid of a lot of useless branches that suck up what can be going to produce apples on a more regular basis.

count the points after you shoot him...problem solved.

I can offer a few suggestions on how not to gain permission, not from experience but for obvious reasons........don't ask the day before the season opens, don't bother a farmer or landowner when they are obviously busy, don't knock on someone's door around dinner time, don't show up in hunting clothes or looking like a slob or with a car load of hunting buddies, don't ask after you've been sitting in front of their property glassing deer for 20 minutes before asking....whether letters, emails or face to face are better options, are all decided by the person you are asking.

sooo, what's the best way to ask permission to hunt someone's land?

I think a few other things come into play when finding your correct draw length.....anchor point and type of release are two that come to mind.........I don't think the measurement formula is all that you should go by.

I plan on breasting them out most likely. I just don't know if I want to try and eat something that I have to drown in flavor. I will keep in mind not to eat the meat closest to the bone.
I'd rather drown something in flavor than waste it.....

Think maybe people "jump on the band wagon" because you're 100% wrong? You're the one who started the name calling and talking down to people....Like you always do... Grow up
yup.........

Sounds like smith point.

I can't believe people are that hard up for intel that they would pull a card, download/delete the pics for their own use, then put the thing BACK? (Like that makes up for messing with a guys/gals camera)
As my kids would say, "really?" Crazy stuff.............................................
mine would say..OMG, WTF?

Troll (Internet)From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThis article is about internet slang. For other uses, see Troll (disambiguation).
In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people,[1] by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally[3][4] or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[5] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[6]
While this sense of the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling also used to describe intentionally provocative actions and harassment outside of an online context. For example, mass media has used troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."[7][8

the bear would be labeled a nuisance bear that is a danger to humans and DEC would track it down and kill it...........
