Ok so pro rate the number of incidents and shootings to project the casuality count for 100% participation. What would that number be?
I think the youth's shot and injured / killed less people last year than the adult hunter's...........
-
It is no longer a legal implement in NY for any game in any season.
if you read the regulations for this year's youth hunt, it say's they may use a crossbow...........gotta be an error on their part.

all bowhunters better be wearing blaze orange underwear
yeah, because dozens were killed last year...............that didn't take long did it?

General Electric has been around forever, and they have different models that go from reasonable up to expensive........I would go with a model that has the lower pull out drawer type freezer......cold air drops, so with the upper door or side by side door, each time you open it the cold air falls out and wastes more energy than needed, with the pull out drawer, the cold air stays inside..
-
I also think that they shouldn't be considered roll models........roll models, when I grew up were actual people we knew and interacted with, not entertainers we would most likely never meet...........Hell, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and the likes were known drunks, different problems for each era, they should be taken for what they are. There was just a 20 something year old, 20 million dollar a year New England Patriot arrested for murder, think about that.....20 million dollars a year and he's in a gang!!!!
-
I could care less, too much money and time is spent worrying about what these entertainer's do and how they do it......I still can't believe there were congressional hearings on steroid use in baseball........time and money wasted on unimportant things.

Wound in front of right thigh...he's fighting a looking battle with some sort of infarction
yup, know that you mention it, the deer in the bottom photos appears to have some type of wound in front of the rear leg.
-
from what I've read, mange is fairly uncommon in deer......

I think a lot of people better the habitat on their land for a far bigger picture than just for killing deer or other wildlife........if I can make an assumption, growalot seems to be one of these people. Due to the layout of our land, we are unable to grow any food plots, but have planted bushes and trees that produce shelter and food for all types of wildlife, but are really nothing that would draw animals in for any type of an effective hunting environment.

It would be interesting to know if he is actually a bowhunter who is involved in this because of his personal beliefs or just the spokesman for a group who got his attention.

If you ever wanted a trout pond on your property, here's your chance........and it may turn out to be a good spot for duck hunting as well.

I think the locations that offer the hands on field course are spread pretty thin, has anyone looked into it?

Sorry dbl post...but....
I'd bet even money...some of the same guys that whine about how NYS needs AR's
DMP'S are even now more precious in the areas where AR's were forced down our throats.....if I get denied a DMP, I have no problem having my wife buy her license in the hopes of getting one that I can use.

Well IMO for gun and bow the person should have to show at least a little proficiency in either handling and shooting a target with gun and or bow to pass...that would clean up the spouse usage abuse big time..
I thought that when those multiple person party tags were issued that all parties had to be a field when it was used?...Back then we'd pick standers and do drives...if a shot ran out the one stander couldn't shoot until the other stander radioed them ..that was morning and evening...all the drivers could shoot were buck
from what I remember, only the person who actually possessed it could use it.......I don't think all listed on it had to be present.
-
I had it bad once, Dr. said the shot is the last resort.........needless to say, I went back when it spread to places you don't want it........got the shot and it cleared up in a day or two.
-
It would be helpful if we knew exactly what you asked him in your letter.

sounds good.

I am surprised they would grant a certificate to the women who admit to only taking the class so they can get the husbands an extra tag since that is illegal. I had a neighbor who I used to live by that shot a nice 8 pt opening day one year. Dropped it off at processors on way home. The DEC showed up after he left. While he was on the way home they call his house and his wife says she didn't shoot that buck her husband did and used her tag. He lost the deer to the food pantry. Was charged with illegally taking a deer an a couple other things and got like $2k in fines. Surprised they would let them take the class if they admit they aren't there for themselves.
It would be totally legal if her intention was to get extra dmp's to sign over to him.........back when the dmp's were party permits, they required 2-3 people on each one, my wife was nice enough to sit through the course and get certified so I had enough people to apply. She also had enough interest to hunt for two years until she shot a deer, that was the end of her hunting.

You can be eleven to take the course but 12 to handle the live fire portion of the test. Otherwise they use air guns if you are 11.
I've been looking for a local course for my son but there are none close to home. The online course looks like a good idea but there is no listing for field days that are available. Gonna have to call the DEC on Monday to get more info.
I don't think live fire is a part of the test............neither one of my kids had it included in the course when they took it, unless that is something that is part of the new online course.

I don't know about "gave". I'm sure if you ask any of those that "gave" their lives in the line of duty, none of them would say they'd do it again. Firemen on the other hand....
I'm sorry, should I have said "lost' their lives. I don't see what makes a fireman losing their life any different than a policeman losing their life in the line of duty..........maybe you can enlighten us on that.

before you drill the stock, put masking tape over where you intend to drill...it helps prevent splintering.
-
This is just more of bloombergs BS His police force is prob about the worst in the country
that's quite the statement....I'm sure if you said that to the families of the officer's who gave their lives in the line of duty, they would disagree.

is it 607 area code they won't ship to, or zip codes starting with 607?
