    I've had great support from company's standing behind their products even when it was my fault, Ruger to be exact.....that's just bad business, especially for the price of an $80 scope.

    the last two Turkey I got were killed between 11:00 & 12:00.........don't give up too early.

    saw a bunch of these mixed in with a flock of Canada Geese today down on Long Island........never saw them down here before..........this is an internet photo and not the actual ones I saw.

    just setting up blindly and hoping you can call one in from a couple hundred yards away is tough and frustrating at times....if they get with hens in that couple hundred yards it's tough but not impossible....find them with a locator call and get as close as possible, and most importantly, don't give up too early...I've had many hen up right off the bat and stop gobbling, but by 9 or 10 a.m. they are back on the prowl.

    I did the same thing with a Ruger pistol a few years ago....her and the kids got a good laugh out of it. They couldn't figure out what they had bought me when I took the present out from under the tree and started opening it.

    well, the article says the guys had permission to hunt there, so that answers that question......but if that's the case they should have known that horses are on the property, a horse is a pretty tall animal, so hard to make a mistake if they were standing, maybe they were bedded? and someone mentioned a backhoe brought in to cover it up, how do you bring a backhoe onto some one else's property and even think you can hide two horses that you killed...ya think the owner would notice? dumb, dumb, dumb.........

    so they told you the warranty is void because it had to have been damaged by something you did, and not the scope failing on its own from normal use?

    I went out looking for a new Turkey gun a few weeks ago, was already pretty much set on buying a Benelli, but which one was the question.........finally walked out with a Super Vinci.

    either of those two look good........I was never a fan of the black bear mounts with the menacing, outstretched claws and snarling, open mouth. I like your choice of the more natural look.

    I would assume you would have to seal them from the elements much like you would have to seal the cardboard...........I realize they use interior glue, cardboard isn't made for outdoor all weather applications either, because cardboard is made out of...well, cardboard.....that's why it all needs to be sealed.

    you can get the cheap luan door blanks at Home Depot for around $25.00.....not sure of what the cost of building your own is, but just another option.

    yep, I started cooking the shanks a few years ago............fantastic eating.

    my brother has a jotul.........great stove, I especially like the front doors that open and can be replaced with a grill to give a fireplace effect, and it has a side load as well.
