    Wonderful, I was at Darien this morning with the bow n that's the last thing I want to worry about is some idiot with his shotgun in their... I was out scouting there during youth weekend and heard a shot I'm pretty sure was in the park ... Waited around for a bit back at the truck as there was only one other truck parked to see if they came walkin out with a gun but never showed... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Haha, curious girl... She wants to make out... We all have those pics from time to time but when it comes to bucks there have been numerous studies looking at ground level vs elevated n a large percentage of the ground level cams spooked bucks to never see them again by that cam throughout the season compared to elevated cams ....     nice view! had a good scout myself the other morning as I had to sit down for almost a half hour as three toms came by n gobbled, strutted, n drummed for 2 hens cuttin, purrin, n yelpin up a storm at 40 yds... Got my blood boiling pretty good.. thought I was gonna see a fight there a couple a times. couple more weeks boys!

    I hate to see so many winter kills, sad really. I have noticed at least 10 or so on my public lands... but if most of those were doe's on your hunting area, I believe in seeing the upside to things, so your rut will be crankin next season, !

    In not sure if I'm correct in what others are insinuating , but sabots out of a rifled barrel absolutely produce greater accuracy especially in mid to long ranges ... I've been using truballs and sluggers for quite a long time out of smooth bore's both scoped and iron sights and since I've been shooting out of a rifled barrel my confidence confidence in shots from 50 to 150 has gone up considerably !     ive used truballs in the past but out of my smooth bore 12 ga. they were the best option when considering rifled slugs, they burn dirty though, really have to clean the barrel with in a day or two to avoid pitting!

    Agreed, if your gonna play in bow season no reason not to have a bow hunters cert.. I would also like to see the cert. for those who only hunt gun season and are going to use it... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I've just picked up the 500 in 20 ga with the rifled cantelever scope mount barrel a couple months ago from cabelas ... Hornady SST's are the way to go outa that combo.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
