Two seasons ago opening day if bow I had my head lamp on in the stand sorting stuff out n had n owl buzz me , I could feal the wind on the first pass , second pass he nailed me n knocked off my head lamp!

Try an Epsom salt bath... Great for sore joints and muscles ... What has your therapist said about it... I normally tell my patients to take some ibuprofen and light stretch for muscle soreness but sounds like ur already doing that.... Sounds counter productive but the warm water with the Epsom salt will help relax the muscle...

Man, I need to come do a little night mission in your neck of the woods! Striking out so far this year on a couple different state lands...

Read the OP again before you fly off the handle... If the legal time was 30 BEFORE sunrise... Would you shoot ... Cam times are rarely right anyhow when someone posts something like this... His concern is more the LIGHT issue...

Foggy here in Dale, NY... Was still hunting into my spot n had three baldies come trottin within 20 yds, thought I had a whole but tagged a branch ... Little drizzle here n there with a few flurries ... Last sit for gun , maybe one more bow sit next weekend...

Drove out to Carlton hill for a mid day hunt n ended up drivin around watching all the orange walkin around everywhere I turned ... Have some great bow spots in there but they go capuuuttt when Elmer Fudd starts wondering around ... Ahh well , until next year..

Hell at this point it's way harder to kill a deer with a gun than a bow , not due to implement but the fact that those of us who hunt public land have tom , dick, hArry, n anyone else u forgot to mention trompin all over the place , talkin to each other like there in the dam coffee shop, n I consider my season over after opening day of gun ....

I say it every fricken year! Gun season is for the dam birds!!! I don't know how people do it who don't bow hunt ! I would just say f this n small game hunt until turkey season ..

No family up here , missed t-day dinner past 3 years . Guess I'll be out most of the day ...

Ok but just to be clear this argument/thread is about the " day light" surrounding legal time most notibly sunset ... No one said flat out poaching black as night if I am correct ...

Think your a little confused ! At 5:30 am its DARK , not 10 minutes past/before legal time , but DARK... Not saying I'm condoning anything but your talking apples n oranges when you say 63 minutes past/before legal... So how did u have a shot at an 8 pt at 30 yds when it's , well, DARK ... Not fading light , but DARK lol... I get a kick out of this internet interpretation bullshit ...

My spots are all 45 min to 1 hour + from me.... Good n bad.. Tough letting the dog out in between morning n evening hunts ... Makes for a long day!

deer were movin late that morning! still as all hell, cold, and I was amazed when I finally saw the first buck cruise through at 8:30... Then a doe n two fawns, and about 9:30 I was gonna call it... so I tipped the can over a couple five or six times n here come this guy nose to the ground trottin at me looking for his lady... I had originally gone into this sit looking for a big chocolate ( well more of an amber or caramel color) rack but never showed. This being my last sit for bow and I hadn't gotten my usual doe yet, I decided he'll due and get some meat in the freezer... shot em at 5 yds , went 30 yds, wobbled, and then made a death dash/leap into the thicket not 5 ft from him in which he managed to get all tangled up in and expired seconds later... It was hell getting him all untangled out a that mess... Stoked for the weather for the SZ gun opener this saturday n have some pretty good bucks on cam I'd like to have mozy on by... good luck all , n thanks for reading... Joe
