Ya I'm sure with it being Memorial Day weekend there will be people hiking everywhere.... Just gonna stick to the fields over off of allegany rd...

Decided to pick a last minute permit for darien lake (archery only) as my other state spots are dead! Just curious what ya'll have to say about it.. Came real close a couple of times in the past getting my first "archery" turkey , so I figured why the heck not... Thnks

I'm pretty partial to the swackers regardless of hank Parker's endorsement ... Even better are the Elmer's edge which is an improvement on the swackers allowing u to take practice shots with the actual mechanical head u would hunt with simply by tightening a screw without deploying the blades and dulling them , but I doubt bass pro would carry them ... But I know they carry swackers , allow u to take most quartering shots without prematurely opening or deflecting , great durability , and I've only had one deer get away due to an unfortunate shot forward but I'm sold for life or until they stop makin em , or I'm convinced otherwise... Fly exactly like my field tips at 100 grns. Interested to see what u choose , I've heard really good things about rocket steelheads too

Quick Fletch's are awesome , easy , fly GREAT ! Pass through targets and deer n still entact .. But the colder months do take toll n can make them brittle causing them to crack just above the fetching and the fletchings creep forward a bit after some practice shots , but there cheap enough to redue every season or two , wick fletch quick spins are the shizz! Have the same pack of carbon express maxima hunters for 5 years now n refletched em three times n still group unbelievably ...

Again, unevenful quiet morning... Based on my scouting there's at least three goblers n a handful a jakes roamin around but havnt heard or seen a thing in weeks besides the occasional stray hen ... Up n disappeared ! That's it for me.. Might get out once or twice more the last weekend... Glad I shot that jake opening day now ,even though he presented himself as a Tom behind the thick stuff n huge fallen oak struttin away... I'm jonsen hard for bow season already as I've seen four big bodied bucks sporting some decent hardware already ...

Was gonna go out every morning this week cause I gotta be back with classes on Monday but had to take a sleep day for lack of talkin ... Headin out tmorrow in Wyoming n "'maybe" Sunday ...

Sittin here watching reruns n wondering if any of ya'll own any duck commander calls? The ones I've come across are crap in my opinion . But what I'm really wondering is how u enjoy there spittle in ur new call haha... See em all the time blowin in calls there makin ... Not somethin I'd be enthusiastic about puttin my mouth to at 6 in the Mornin ...!

haha, well thanks for the thesis ... Didn't mean to negate the law of nature but as I said before the only land I have to hunt is public and moderately hunted land at that , so if ur sayin pressure doesn't stop em from gobblin ur crazy! Been at this long enough n killed too many birds to be persuaded otherwise ... I support ur statement on older toms continuing on with breading and all 100% n doesn't mean there not out there but as far as "turkey " hunting goes its not the greatest... It pretty much becomes deer hunting trying to pattern them n not calling them in when there hot to trot.... I hunt most days till the bitter end , but when u see stray hens with no boys n don't hear a thing it's dam tough to stay motivated. Specially since u've been wakin up at 2 for a week solid .... But this is no news to u I'm sure since u seem very well educated , I wish u the best , cause we all worship Lady Luck thanks for ur input...

Well, had a decent 1st season up here on public land , but I see some beautiful property that's naggin at me... Would love to hear some of ur typical speils when knocking on a new door for the first time ... Back home public land is literally the only option ... I'm familiar with the basics, take care of the land owner with some meat if they'd like it, a little something around the holidays, and help around the farm... I have NO problem with any a that but the helping out part , my time is well SPOKEN for even when I'm in stand lol... PT grad school is intense... So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Would love to kill a good NY buck before my schooling is up n I'm outa here ... Phade I'm sorry we couldn't meet up before last season , would have liked to work something out , just didn't know what to expect from school at that time...

U ain't lyin!!! 3 rolls around too quick when there not talkin .... Miss my Florida season already! Gobbles drop off as season progresses but for some weird reason I have tagged out the last week of season too many times to give up halfway , but up here this is rediculous ! I get it, time the season to ensure good breeding and a healthy pop. but dam at least bump it up a week or so ... By opening day they are coolin off already... Oh well, found some great bow spots for October in my travels ... Come on October lol!!!!
