  1. For sure doc, have had my bow for 8 years now , 2nd one ever owned n when I saw that Hoyt I fell in love , great profile , draw , no creep, n little vibration that I could tell ... Just gonna make shooting and hunting that much more enjoyable ... Confident I'll use this bow for many many years to come .. Still makes me wonder what kinda bows r gonna be out 20 + yrs from now! They've come ALONG way since compound inception , can't imagine how they'll improve the technology , but like anything else they always do ...
  2. Go pro unfortunately is unproductive except for close up hunter views ... The fish eye lense and the lack of zoom makes 15/20 shots seem like 40 ... I wood invest in something else if ur looking to get any close up focused detailed shots ... I'm searching the market now for something zoom able/clear/ affordable as an addition to my bow/gun hunter perspective view w/ my go pro ...
  3. I don't know about armoroll on my hunting arrows that stuff wreaks! If they were my practice that's a solid idea , stuff is slick as hell ... Been thinkin bout a Glendel.. Havnt heard any bad press on that so far..
  4. Oh if I could sleep with it I would ... Cool on the new hunt partner , wish ya'll luck ... Left my long time partner back in FL , still tryin to get him up here for a week , been rainin like a SOB down there , Everglades r flooded , closed a good number a WMA's cause of it ... Glad im Huntin up here this year , gonna be a rough one for them boys! U lost your permission on new owners? That blows ... Still appreciate you offering to take time out to meet up n find property when I first got here , but my forecast was correct , spent many nights after hours in the gross lab with the cadavers , just didn't think it was fair to u or the land owners to just show up now n then outa the blue , just wouldn't be able to take care a them chores wise ... Plus I'm up here alone with my golden retriever , by the time I drive out, sit an hour before light, put a few hours in the stand , n drive home that's way too long without let him out to begin with much less Huntin out by u... Somethin tells me u'll be aight come season... They'll show up mid oct - nov .. Little devils lol
  5. Niagara outdoors in north tonawanda , great bow shop
  6. My buddy back home has an elite , shot it a few times and they are solid bows ! Well that was very nice of them to help you out like that , lord knows u've been through enough with the flood. Far stretch from the drought last year! Lookin forward to seein what you come up with this year ... My seasons already off to a great start with the new rig, the rest is just icing on the cake...
  7. Nice, always love gettin new toys .. I swear I gotta start leavin my wallet at home anytime I step in the place .. I had the bear strike once , not a bad bow for the money... Curious how much did the carnage go for?
  8. Haha that's funny! I could, don't pick it up till the fifteenth though, makin me ancy!
  9. Wouldn't expect anything less from you...
  10. Ya the element is really nice too , just out a my budget for now . For $500 vs close to a grand I've got enough quality to last me till my schooling ends and career begins...
  11. After years of procrastination I finally pulled the trigger n upgraded to a Hoyt... Started out shootin gettin back into form for season , busted a cable slide n took a trip to the shop.. Next thing I know I'm walkin out with an invoice for a Hoyt charger ! Great value for the money ! Shot a demo n it's the smoothest draw n most solid back wall I've ever shot ... I've shot some Mathews n they are nice but this felt like butter baby ! Anyone own one a these gems ? Pick it up on the fifteenth, stoked for first blood with it..
  12. Pretty cool but still seems like a bit of a marketing ploy and some tricky computer play ...
  13. I'd be happy with number three
  14. Thought they didn't go on sale till Aug. 16th!?
  15. Great pics man! I was out last night too glassin and same thing! They were all fired up bumpin each other all over n bucks almost looking like they were gonna fight , must a been the cool snap that got em all spunky... Fun to watch !
  16. i have to agree with arrow flinger.... 90% of all my hunting is in the swamp and i see more tracks cutting out into the water n mud than you'd think... last season i watched a doe wade out of sawgrass and three feet of water through a clear cut trail in the sawgrass to dry ground right under my stand and mosey off... i've got a couple cams set on trails that lead into the mud n water and they consistently come out a there... i love the rut in there cause the bucks come out of the wet sawgrass to dry ground to seek and make scrapes and my stands are all at there access points so they have to walk by me given they do it in day light.... i've seen guys shoot deer down south in the everglades in wide open sawgrass swamps with a couple feet a water off a airboats... they don't care one bit..! wish i could hunt your swamp, i bet theres a biggin in there you've never known about..!
  17. no , Tonawanda WMA or "Alabama Swamps" as I've heard some call it in middleport...
  18. what does he care, he's out to "Destroy " deer.
  19. Wow this kid is a real winner huh guys?!! I'm just there to "destroy " deer so I put my "shooting" hat on? ... What choice of words... I get it , it's a nuisance tag , but hunting is still hunting no matter how u look at it... Just cause its out of season and the farmer wants them takin care of , well, TAKE CARE of them n give them the proper respect as if u shot it during bow season ... And not looking for attention , I call bs on that , pretty blatantly obvious by how u handle yourself in your replies ... In my opinion and I'm pretty sure there's quite a few others that agree, we take pride in deer hunting and give it it's due respect when we do harvest , but we also have a love for the animals when we're not hunting them and would never tolerate someone around me talkin foolishly like that , tossing really any amount of meat is a disgrace, make sure it's got a home before u pull that trigger... Save the ribs ,gimme a break ... "Destroy" deer , NO ! Harvest ... "Shooting hat " NO! Think u just did yourself in and won't get much love from future posts ...
  20. I've got a question about dmp's ... Last year got two for 8G right when I bought my license the first day... Say I don't get my dmp's for that unit this year, can I pony up another 10 bucks and try for a different unit?
  21. Maybe it's just me but someone who hunts deer to throw the loins and BACKSTAPS out n keep the ribs shouldn't be Huntin deer cause that's bulls?);&
  22. I agree with phade ... Coming from Huntin bucks in Florida swamps I happened to have a local wma close to me that is 80% swamp ( no gators or snakes) and I love it , easier swamp to hunt than down south except when it gets cold but not cold enough to freeze solid makin it near impossible to get back to ur stand when there's only a thin layer of ice ... I pray for either a really mild winter (reg or hip boots) or a reaaalllyyy cold winter so I can walk on the ice no problem... But the high thick ground is obvious for bedding and trails can be seen easily dry or wet ... Not to mention I'm the ONLY one " crazy" enough for most used to big dry woods Huntin around here to walk in a lil water so I have the whole place to myself , but sounds like ur in private ground anyhow ... But even with the water n thick stuff look for the trails even if there's water, they don't give a damn ! The bucks I'm Huntin bed out in the wet sawgrass and wade through the water n grass to get to the dry heads where my stands are ... Good luck man
  23. If they stick around , looks like ur gonna have an interesting season... Good luck
