Good job on the early season finds John! Can't wait to see what you haul in durring March Madness! With all the bucks you had on cam in your area so far this winter, I'm expecting you're gonna do really well this year. Good luck this weekend!

Power vent will probably end up cheaper in your case. You'll be able to use existing water, gas, and vent lines with little altering. The tankless will involve more labor and material with the mounting in a new location and different venting system. I've installed hundreds of both styles and each has advantages in certain applications.

No WE wont...YOU will.., and that's ok! The only dumbies here are the ones who are having a hard time comprehending and interpreting what's being said.

Figures.. the one time I find something worth 100x's it's face value and it still aint worth squat, lol I'd like to get into metal detecting one day. Seems like a hobby I could have some fun with!

It's worth $1 in this condition, lol I guess they started out being minted in Philladelphia, before production began in San Francisco. A 1908"S" stamped circulation penny(San Fran) in mint condition is worth about $69. Non circulated 1908"S" pennies are worth $400+

I was going through my loose change in my pocket today when I found this little treasure! Pretty interesting year in penny history if anyone's interested in that kinda stuff. It inspired me to do a little research, and I actually learned something today! It's no antler, but still a pretty cool find..

Just like the nuisance bears, stop feeding them and eventually they'll go away. I know this isn't true, but it's the only train of thought I can imagine a community would support this measure to decrease it's negative perception by outsiders. Homelessness isn't something to be proud of no matter which side of the tracks you're on, and honestly, sometimes those same tracks are the only thing that seperate this sad reality from the rest of society. Pretending it doesn't exist, doesn't make it go away, or do anything to address a growing problem that isn't getting any better any time soon.

Electric wood splitters
wooly replied to NY Region 3 Trapper's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
We ran 20 cord through one last summer. It got the job done.....eventually. Still spent a good amount of time wrestling logs around when it got bogged down quite often. Your back will still feel like you split it by hand. -
I'll bet Biz called the taxidermist when he lost his first tooth, lol Heck, I don't think he could pick his nose without one.

Yes, it would be wrong to ask for the feet.... Return to the grave after dark and dig the fuzzy up. OR You may also consider pulling the ol' switch-a-roo with the casket when nobodies lookin'!

Don't forget your Sabres flags while you're there!

The power of faith can single handedly be stronger than any psycological diagnosis or treatment that ever came from science. We wouldn't hear of a lot of the recent tragedies if the individuals involved had something to believe in when they felt all hope was lost. In respect to morality, I believe there's a direct connection between the two whether those who question it are willing to admit it or not.

woolys "true euro" attempt..

Finally getting around to finishing this thing up. It went smoother than I expected from start to finish. I'm pretty happy with it and glad I was able to make some use of this buck. One thing I probably should have done differently was leave the center strip of cartilage that ran up the snout. To late now, and I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it, just something I'll plan on next time. After getting him good and trimmed up, the boiling part didn't take long at all. I may have cooked him an hour, maybe an hour and a half in a water and Dawn dish soap tub. After that I wrapped the bases in tin foil and got to whitening. I didn't go out of my way to pick up any salon strength peroxide. Just used some Clorox bleach kitchen spray and a stiff tooth brush. Nuthin' fancy, I wont be entering any competitions with this guy! After a couple good scrubbings, I let it dry and took a light sand paper to some of the deeper stained areas and hit them again with the whitener. I'm undecided if I'll simply mount him on a plaque or try to come up with something a little more ellaborate eventually. I'll worry about that later, but for the most part, I'm done for now. I'll deffinately be doing more this way in the future. -
A wise man once said, "He who goes to bed with hard problem, wakes up with solution in hand".. Too bad they didn't think of this while Cuomos parents were in school..

Man, you got all kinds of finds this time around! Real nice set of freshies there and looks like another quality skull for the boiler! Tough looking in the kind of snow you got in the first few pics. Everythings so clutterd your eyes don't know what to look at, but you did alright! Good to see your #'s starting to climb... almost 1/2 way there now! Good luck next hike!

wooly replied to Deerthug's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Have fun with it! I've been eyeballing them for a while myself. Seen some great outdoors footage come from them! Looking forward to what you capture with it! -
Actually, I did write it as part of my grieving process, lol! This fall I'm sending a similar letter to Marv Levy from the Bills to see if he bites! At this point I'm just glad it's a shortened season. How depressing it is to watch these guys every other night!
