Definitely personal preference here, but I have an Oris that I love. Leather band and can be dressed up or down. I previously owned a couple of nicer metal band watches, but they always seemed too dressy for daily wear. Plus, they seem to become dated quicker. My oris has a large diameter face which makes sense for me, but they sell different sizes and styles. I will say its performed flawlessly for the 8 years or so that I have owned it. Falls in your price range.

Well the creed is ready for Friday

Yep - they open up pretty good on just the handwarmer. My only hope is that like what happened with Let Em Grow's buck, they leave everything inside the animal. Not as likely with a yote. That said, the last yote dropped with my 223 and I could not find the entrance at all. The 55g vmax never exited either so who knows. -

AR10 by 2A armament Law. Not sure specifically where we are going Friday but Andrew and I are trying to make up for lost sick time. lol -
Cant agree more. Its like you want to get past the difficult early stages and then wish you never did! My baby is 11 going on 35.

Mounted the thermal on the 6.5 last night and ran out at lunch today (only free time I will have) to sight it in for the weekend with the 95g vmax. took 7 shots to dial it in at 100 (including a 3 shot detour where I adjusted in wrong direction - thermal is like archery you move crosshairs to hole not the opposite). But 7 and 8 destroyed hand warmer at 100 albeit an inch left of center. So I moved the x axis -1 and called it good since handwarmer was particles. Seeing how the holes opened up on just the handwarmer (compare 1/6 to 7/8) I am thinking this ammo will not be fur friendly if there is an exit. Kinda hoping one hole only but that may be too optimistic. It should drop em for sure.

TArget sports, buds guns. Two that I have ordered from. Buds usually has decent prices.

You may want to try some of the heavier 308 rounds - 165-180. You have the twist rate for it. Not sure I buy that bullets can be overstabilized ruining accuracy but some believe it and 1/10 is definitely good for heavy bullets. ad I recall, my AR10 in 308 shot Winchester power max bonded in 180 pretty well. personally, I would not work with any rounds that are not suitable for hunting. Not sure if the black bullet construction is good for hunting but something to consider.

The precision hunter seems to shoot well in every gun. But what is your twist rate? Weight may be factor in your choice.

Good luck Zeek. I got shot down by my wife as I have been coughing a lung up all week. Finally feeling a bit better but she is right. I just really look forward to Friday night hunts. -

lol - can't help that you are too tall for the average tripod Mr. Giant. -
why would anyone take their wife on a first hunt for brown bear? She probably wondered why the husband increased her life insurance weeks before the hunt. I don't think I would want my wife or daughter to go on such a hunt no matter how much they liked hunting. Really I don't think I would want any family member in a position to be eaten by a crazed bear, let alone assist/put them in a position to have that happen.

Bear in camp, fall etc. Some stuff doesn't really catch my attention. But the footage of the actual hunts, the bears they killed and the terrain they are hunting (perhaps coupled with my own imagination) was really interesting. I like the one where they are chasing big poppa only to learn in the end that he gave them the slip and they were now watching a sow and cubs. lol That would be a long hike for nada.
-
wow you guys are tough. I enjoyed it - yes it has its less than ideal content but still decent. If nothing else, it made me realize how hiking though some of the dense brush where a 1000lb bear may be hiding would be a crazy rush and possibly terrifying at the same time. And you sure as heck would not catch me hunting with a single shot gun there.

Not to be overly politically correct, but please be careful with the gender identification. I believe @TreeGuy is still evaluating. -

I think our movement causes dogs to hang up at night more than we know. The less the better and a hands free tripod helps. -

Just my opinion, but its so much easier to have a tripod that will hold the gun hands free while you scan. The trigger stick tripod will do that if you run a gear tie through it and secure the gun. Or try the bog pod for a few $ more. I would not like hunting with a bipod. -
Good luck today Bryan!

Good reason to wear ear protection

Thanks again for the nice offer. It’s not a magpul stock so I doubt it would fit. Besides, you never know when a new rifle is in your future - maybe one that the buttpad will fit!

Thanks helmut. My girth with not long arms = short lop. But I appreciate the offer. Might be nice for recoil though.
