  1. Its only mandated for youth now. Not sure why you are suggesting forced compliance with a "hunter safety rule". If you don't want to wear orange, you don't have to.
  2. Or you can do it like the 50-50 at an Italian stag and have a predetermined winner that they know will donate the money/slicer back to the groom get the predetermined ticket . Not that that happens of course.
  3. Law, just so you don't feel left out, PM me if you want a pair of fancy hunting socks!
  4. I have 3pts in IA that I will likely never use. But Wyoming has animals you can’t hunt in NY which is what I want when traveling to hunt.
  5. Wow. Higher percentage of a venison diet generally than I would think.
  6. I killed my second with a kodiak mag. 52”. Didn’t take long for me to realize the benefit of a longer bow. I now stick to 58-62
  7. Thought it was shorter. I have hunted a fair amount with a 58” with issue. I have a slightly shorter DL.
  8. Very cool Dino. And the best grip wrap on a bow for sure!
  9. I just kept thinking to myself, what if the thermal has an issue … can't wait months to get back out. $140 for some security is a good deal I guess. lol
  10. Brand new in box and never used. $150 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BUWW4WS/ref=twister_B07CMNJRV5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Will post pics of the actual knife later. Includes the soft case that comes with the knife.
  11. You may be right Rob. Treeguy gets the small ones and me the oversized dots for obvious reasons.
  12. lol - already for sale on AT. I don't really need two compounds. 2019 Obsession FXL (60-70lbs and 28.5" DL).
  13. Thanks to @Biz-R-OWorld! The most critical component to success. Fancy socks!
  14. Article says: "the primary rules of hunter safety:" Not "safe gun handling" as I explained in my first post. I am sure there are a few other hunter safety rules that could also be included that do not relate to firearms safety.
  15. Are you serious? OK - I will argue. I don't care who is at fault. My daughter will be taught to wear orange in gun season because its a worthwhile step to take for HER safety. I am not looking to lay blame when an accident occurs. If there is something I can do to help avoid it,. I will. In fact, I would blame myself if an accident occurred because I told her not to wear orange to prove a point. That's just plain silly IMO. Rant over. And if you don't think that teaching hunters to wear orange in gun season is not already part of the safety course, you would be wrong.
  16. I don't want to calculate how many bows I averaged per year over the last 10 years. lol That said, I am sticking with the same recurve and compound for 2020 as I did in 2019. In fact, I decided to sell off some that I had sitting around. Down to 2 recurves and 2 compounds that I would likely hunt with. My goal is to never buy another bow - famous last words.
  17. Hmm - I don't think wearing orange prevents a shooter from shooting someone other than perhaps the target giving wide berth when they see a shooter in orange but I doubt that is the point. That said, I still don't see why it should not be included in the category of "hunter safety" as its described. But I will not argue with you. Enough of that going on.
  18. Rattler - you sure in an argumentative mood lately. lol The first 4 address firearm safety. The last is still part of overall hunter safety. No it should not be needed, but still a good idea in firearms season IMO.
