It would be a long throw from Webster Bill. Go and enjoy! I have work to do unfortunately or I would go.

Optical illusion. Andrew is tiny.
-
For the record, I picked up one of these for around $185 shipped. Worked fine the one time I used it so far.

Even though I know I probably am exposed to a lot of unsanitary stuff in restaurants without knowledge, I have a phobia about buffets too.

Wow. Bidding war! Drew will be devastated.
-
I thought he was saving for a thermal - well this major purchase blows that out of the water.

HUMP, STUMP, PLUMP, what the frump?
-
That makes sense. Never thought about that. That would apply to one property I hunt.

Just had a pair replaced under warranty for shipping costs of $2.63. Well worth it for a great pair of socks.

100% true. Bow is not drawn further by use of a longer D loop but your release is further back allowing one to reach their natural anchor as if the bow has a longer DL. But the bow's DL is not 100% constant based on cam setting as the tune of the bow through string and cable length changes can alter the bow's actual DL to some extent.
-
There are a few other tricks to increase the bow's DL too, like twisting the cables up and untwisting the string. It will shorten ATA and will have some impact on the draw cycle, but its something that a good tech can do to help.

You will be hooked the first time you see eyes coming in to the call! Welcome to join me for a hunt if you like.
-
If it runs 1/2 long from factory (29.5), a long loop will make the bow useable. I agree with TC, a bit short is way batter than a bow with a DL too long.

Not much of a turkey hunter - tried a few times but not successfully and haven't had the experience of calling one in that everyone seems to enjoy. Don't have many turkey where I hunt so its tough to get excited. But I will say that I have just as much anticipation waiting for a dog hunt as I do for a deer hunt in gun season if not more. I hunted for a while with lights only and yes it was just as fun. Tougher to see the dog for purposes of shooting one, but those lit up eyes are exciting. Haven't done any daytime hunting for dogs, but may give it a try. I like the nighttime stuff for sure. Not going to lie, the thermal does increase the fun in being able to see so much in the dark. By way of example, treeguy couldn't see the distant fox that I shot at last weekend simply because he wasn't looking our way. But lights work and remain a fun way to hunt.

Zeek, the Hornady 223 vmax in 55g are (according to Hornady) 1.5" high at 100, dead on at 200 and 7" low at 300. What is the benefit of the less common 204? Is it more fur friendly?

Have a great B-day Cabin!
-
I recall and I acknowledge I was clearly wrong. Bow hunting the rut still is king, but night hunting dogs is a close second. Already bummed that they are calling for rain all weekend.
-
Check with @TreeGuy Pretty sure he was looking for one of these.

OnX will give you topo but you need to pay for that state or a yearly premium membership for all states. You can also set way points where you are interested in hunting and use the gps feature to get you there.

Condolences Eddie

Hey now, don’t drag me into this

0-200ish 300 is still a decent drop!

No rangefinder (ISH standard) and the bull barrel is not critical. I think most quality ARs will be close to MOA.

Belo I will say that the one limitation to yote hunting is access. Its really best to have several parcels nearby (but not adjacent) to make a night of it. Otherwise you are one and done in an hour or less for the most part and you won't want to hunt that spot too often or you educate the dogs. 3 or 4 spots will give you a pretty good night of it. Probably easier to get access solely for hunting yotes than deer hunting however.

Wait, is Jason trying to push you off on another taxi?
