  1. Not fur friendly but this side is ok. Lol on to the next stand.
  2. Am I chipped liver? Geeze. Starting to think this is a fake ad.
  3. Congrats and you can walk out with her once the background check and payment is complete.
  4. Thanks Dave. Appreciate that!. We do have a lot of fun. Offers mutual and you know that my friend. Feeling pretty optimistic about tonight.
  5. Not going to lie, I have numerous rigs that work well for coyotes. I just wanted to actually hunt with the creedmoor. Never got out with it for deer last season. I suspect my 223 will remain the primary rig. But 6.8, 6.5, .224 and 243 will all likely make an appearance at some point.
  6. I am with zeek. $1k budget means lights for both scanning and killing or scanning with a light and a NV scope. Seen some good video from the wraith which is around $500 plus $200 for a bit stronger IR intensifier.
  7. I am just glad we are following recommended protocol. We use bullets instead of sticks and stones, but I guess whatever is handy will do. If you see a coyote, be aggressive in your behavior - stand tall and hold arms out to look large. If a coyote lingers for too long, then make loud noises, wave your arms, or throw sticks and stones.
  8. Yep fairly versatile. The big selling point was that you can maintain supersonic speed past 1300yds due to great bc from an AR15 platform so it’s supposed to be a great long range round. Not that I will be using it for that purpose anytime soon.
  9. I have one. Have only played some with it but both federal premium nosler 60g and fusion 90g shoot sub moa if I do my part. Lots more ammo available now compared to last year. I heard real good things about terminal performance on deer with the fusion. But no personal experience yet. remember, you will need a 6.8 mag for this. If your lower has a pinned 223 mag, it would need to be swapped out.
  10. Odd injury but glad you are good Law
  11. If you have Netflix, check out the new series called Night on Earth. Much of the first two episodes is filmed in thermal. Really cool footage. I have a pulsar thermal scanner and scope. Been very happy with both. Break the bank is a relative term, but obviously more money than lights and most night vision, which will get the job done too.
  12. Sorry, not following Brad. You responded to open request for comments on increasing tourism in Hancock before the whole contest issue came about?
  13. That is definitely active support. Again, not pointing fingers as I have no problem with the contest but did nothing affirmative to support it. Just curious what others did.
  14. You definitely need some open ground to scan. You might have called one in and not even known. But cool that you got out!
  15. I think that's the norm after a short while.
  16. Other than commenting on this thread, I would be curious to know what action, if any, was taken by anyone on the forum regarding this particular contest, either in support or opposition of it. Not throwing stones as I am honestly curious since many have strong views. Maybe its stated somewhere and I missed it.
  17. she is a beauty. if only I could justify another rifle.
  18. On my way. Ignore the fat guy with the AR in the backyard.
  19. Waiting for Biz. Not even negotiating. Worth every penny!
  20. Those dogs best keep their eyes closed with you around!
