  1. And they headed towards my buddy and I text him get ready. He then texts back. I missed. Got the shakes. Ugghhh
  2. I need to stop reading. Check my last live from the woods post. I had a buck banging a doe 30yds away
  3. First time for everything. I was replying to a Biz post and look to my left and a doe and fawn are staring at me. All of a sudden a buck comes off the far hill and runs up. Doesn’t he mount her while fawn and I watch. I have never seen a live deer sex show. Tried to get a quick pic. Crazy! Lol
  4. I moved but If I ever ran a 4.46, I wouldn’t be a lawyer. Lol. My best was 5.0 at 315lbs. I only saw one lineman that was truly fast and he ran a 4.6 at camp.
  5. The one I shot was nothing special and I had passed better this year. But the quality of the hunt, the excitement is what made me release the arrow. Yes, the 2 properties I hunt have decent bucks but it’s not the Midwest.
  6. Trust me, I ain’t seeing 24” spread and 170” bucks.
  7. Nice to see you stop by Sam. Those are some crazy bucks. Congrats. The mass on the 184 is hard to grasp. Literally.
  8. Dan sent me the pic. I didn’t have the heart to tell him it’s a house cat, but a beauty and clearly ferocious.
  9. I knew I didn’t like you! My congrats on your buck is rescinded.
  10. Took week off. Might as well be in a stand but not pushing myself too hard. Lol and I thought a passing shower not constant for 3hrs.
  11. You guys just have to toughen up. Eat a few berries a day until your body is acclimated
  12. Not a good idea because I would not want to smell like doe urine all day. Never mind how a buck will react.
  13. First time I recall being caught in rush hour traffic on way to hunt. Lazy hunter.
  14. Fun hunt. Started real slow and around 9:30 a doe comes screaming by about 50yds away with a buck hot on her. A minute later she comes screaming by again back in opposite direction and runs under another of my stands. Buck looked better second time by. Jump out of my stand and hustle to the other stand she ran by hoping her scent might start a parade. As soon as I climb in and remove pack, I turn to see this guy 45yds away. Have no idea if he was the one chasing or was standing there when I climbed in but he had to be close since I had not even turned around. Slowly nock an arrow and he starts heading to me. Trying to decide if he is worth shooting and he looks right at me at about 25yds. I have never seen such a bug eyed oh crap look. He veers away and takes about three hops and starts swinging to my left. At that point I am in it due to the excitement that and draw and he stopped just long enough for me to settle a pin and question how far, how far. Not really sure but looked more than 20 so 30 it was. Shot and he dropped in his tracks. Took top of ribs, through spine and caught a good amount of lung. Those rages do damage. Turns out he was 25yds when ranged after the fact. If he hadn’t went all bug eyed, not sure an arrow would have flown but he made it pretty exciting and that’s what I love when hunting.
  15. Not one of the big boys - fair 3yr- but really exciting hunt. Details later. Good luck guys.
  16. I would do a semi upright with a slight head turn. More realistic and regal.
