FFL would have to pin mag or change to thordsen stock

You are a mystery wrapped in an enigma Mr Nomad. You would spend 37k on a watch but won’t upgrade from free scopes. But that’s alright as we all have the privilege of wasting our money how we choose. I freely admit I buy plenty of items that I want where a cheaper version would work fine.

Lol. Says the man with an expensive watch fetish when a $20 timex does the same thing. And it’s worth more than all the guns on the board some more than twice as much. Grab it if you win.

Yep, they just pushed ahead through the perfect storm too! Yikes.

I don’t think most know the maker. It’s a great sxope

You must be awful lonely out there in 8-10s. No way I would think about fishing that.

Not that exciting. Bowl to feathered to mullet to flat top, to buzz with lines, to Mohawk to pretty much current short neat hair. Same as everyone else. -

Ya know as I think about it feathered hair was likely replaced with a mullet by 84 -

Ah yes, the year I shocked the world leading my college football team in QB sacks as a freshman after moving to defense mid season. You were my motivation. But I had a Mohawk then. Feathered hair long gone. Lol. Thinking back is amusing. -

I am older, but not that old - many years before my college days sonny! And before you were probably born. The velour shirt topped off the whole look. I think I will bring back the feather hair parted in the middle style! -

Skating backwards with girls at sharkey's to the song "I want to know what love is" by Rochester's own Lou Graham sporting the big comb in the back pocket for your feathered hair style! Ah the good ole days. -
He wanted to keep hunting! I will admit I am not that dedicated. That stag won that day and off to the hospital I go.

I would be happy to but in times of the apocalypse such as this, its every person for themselves. Already locked up in safe so family can't access either! If you really need flu meds, just shout. -
Gotcha - there is another Quigley Ford scope on the gun board!
-
Looks nice John. You throwing in an accuwedge?
-
Honestly, many just Loctite the thread protector. But if you are super concerned, you can have it silver soldered or pinned (drill hole through thread protector, install and then run drill just a touch further into threads, put pin in and a quick weld spot on top of pin - grind flat if you choose). It meets federal ATF standards when people use a flash hider as included in barrel length.
-
A bit of a PLAYER I see.
-
featureless upper? meaning no flash hider? You can always remove the hider from a threaded barrel and install a thread protector (pin that if you are really worried - you have the skills and very easy to do) and you have a featureless upper. Delta tactical sells complete uppers for under $200 daily.
-
yep or you could throw on a thordsen stock and not pin it. I will say that I just read DPMS is closing its doors (not confirmed other than internet ramble) but that may be why its deeply discounted. As a mil spec gun, it would not stop me from buying one if I was in the market. Nontypical - The only thing I suspect I would want to change is the trigger as I hear they aren't great but who knows, maybe a bit of polishing would make it OK. I like light trigger pulls (3lbs or less). I thinkt he stock is a 6lb pull and not adjustable. I also like mlok handguards but that isn't a deal breaker - it could always be changed later if one really wanted a different handguard.

I mentioned to my wife that I hope nobody gets a cold/flu (not covid 19 - just any flu) in the family as I understand the stores are running our of meds. So last night she went out to stock up on some Theraflu. She said there was plenty at walgreens along with hand sanitizer. I guess we are a bit slow up here to catch on to trends. lol -
This is a really good deal: https://www.gunbroker.com/Item/859033415 close to 50% off. Ship to your local FFL and have them pin is before transfer. Don’t need a 223 but thought someone here may benefit.
-
Didn’t buy one yet. Just think I like the features and reticle better than any scope I have seen. I did price it out at a dealer I use. $944 but won’t likely be available until mid April. We shall see. No rush.

I had it made for my 6.5 creed. It’s a very nice scope. No complaints.
