Zeeks varmint hunting 2019/2020
moog5050 replied to Gencountyzeek's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
the VX-R is awesome but honestly I think the Hog Hunter is the best value. Only downside is that its heavy but with a light, the rig will be heavy anyways. 30mm with 56mm obj. Good clarity and a nice red single dot aiming point. Works well with red kill light surprisingly too. -
I can usually find mucks for huge discounts in January. I have not seen that with dryshod, but maybe I missed them.
-
Maybe we shoot for 100lbs over current record.

Colonoscopy to a whole new level

Miracle - so who wins? Never mind, I should just watch the movie. Greatest upsets are always in the NCAA hoops tourney - UMBC (16) beats UVA (1). Odds ? Guess it was 25-1 so not as big of an upset as my man Buster.

Good reason to hunt from a tree!

I see what he did there by making you look like you have a shaved head. That @TreeGuy

Honestly, I could care less about the resume. Application fee talks!
-
Not intentionally, but I think we might have tracked one buck last year into VT or it sure felt like it.
-
I am forming a team to compete with the WNY/Biz crew. Please send your resume to me. Those selected will be notified. $50 application fee applies. But if you find 3 more for the team, you will receive 1/2 of their application fee and so on and so on. The bigger the team, the better. I think that's how it works.

Before you drop thousands on a scope, I would run it for a while and confirm it’s a gun that warrants it Chef. You won’t be happy if it’s not well under MOA and you spent that kind of cash on the scope. Just something to consider.

Be shocked if it’s not him.

So EJ and his son can be added to this list. Look forward to meeting you folks. -
Mucks last me about 4 seasons. But the owner sold and started a new company Dryshod. I still wear mucks but would try dryshod if found on sale. That said I usually buy mucks post season for near 50% off.

I find it interesting that his brow tines were pretty much the same a year later.

That’s just general raffle. Lots more firearms. -
My money says yes same buck

I could be wrong. I assume less mess moving back means you need less push moving it back forward. But no biggie to swap it out if needed. I think you should do a binary trigger too. Lol
-
Don’t you need a lighter spring?
-
You can tell by the ejection if it’s over gassed. It will chip up the ejection port if over gassed. 90 degree ejection is good (except for the guy to your right at the range lol).
-
I think if you run a low mass bcg you also need a lighter buffer spring and the adjustable gas block. Supposed to reduce recoil but I also think they tend to be more finicky. Hope it works for you but on a 224 the recoil is nothing anyways so you may want to just go with a standard bcg and avoid the tuning hassle.

Never did. I figured 2 was good. But thank you!

Thordsen FRS enchanced stock

These are a nice option of going featureless. Have 2 and like em. Carbine since it has the enhanced cover. GLWS
