That doesn’t quite sound legal. Lol
-
Well nothing in Mendon. Pulled a fox in close at my place and had a yote responding but no luck. Sure enough yote tracks on the trail I walked in on when leaving. Back doored and never knew it.

Bring it to Jimmy Smiths in the village. Good guy, solid work and will work with ya.
-
Be happy to see one but a double would be nice!
-
Could be but we had snow yesterday morning. None of it is covered in snow, including the mounds of hair. Plus tracks show no snow coverage. But it was when it was.
-
Not sure why but I really like night hunting yotes. I guess it’s the excitement of seeing one in thermal.
-
Yep. I will set up close to where you sat the ground last year. SW wind but if I stay on the east edge I may be OK.
-
Lol. I hate pulling that pin. Use a pick to push detent in while sliding in the pin. Pulling it out is more of a pain! Took me more than an hour and using two picks to swap that front pin a couple of weeks ago.
-
Yep. Right in the bowl that you almost killed the buck 2 years ago. Not sure how well the thermal will work in the woods but probably worth giving it a go.
-
Sorry for double post.

Was shooting a bit today and took the ATV around the property. Never hunt here for yotes as I rarely see them. Lots of foxes, but this deer kill was not foxes or a single yote. Bits of meat around and some bone pieces but I did not find the carcass. Didn’t look very hard either. Tons of tracks. Since we had snow yesterday thinking this was last night. I just may have to hunt there tonight!

I have had both the pro chrono and now Caldwell. They both seem to work fine and were/are consistent. I bought the Caldwell after my dog knocked the tripod over and with the pro chrono. Both are very reasonably priced.

Misc. hunting and reloading items

Very cool of you. Seems the generosity is contagious. -
You are just a kind soul trying to help them avoid a very painful demise by speeding up the process. I would probably start videoing with the intent to send it after and they would break free and run never to be seen again. To add insult to injury, the video on my phone would fail. Sure, sure you saw too booners fighting it out.
-
That would be quite the shock and what a said way for a 175 and 250" buck to meet their demise. Imagine walking up on that battle in the woods.

Velocity still matters in precision shooting as a minor error in yardage estimation and holdover/doping are less critical. But my research basically suggested that a short barrel is just as “accurate” as a long barrel.

buen provecho

se ve muy delicioso

length does not affect accuracy from everything I read. It usually will impact speed/muzzle velocity, but not always. And some barrels even from the same manufacturer are faster than others. My creed barrel is very fast compared to what I (and the scope manufacturer) expected from a 20" barrel. Like 150fps faster than estimated.

I have a huntworth hat that I love. Their snow camo bibs are limited to 2xl but if the bibs are like the hat, you will be pleased I think.

The parka is hooded.
-
It’s decent quality, warm and quiet. Pockets leave a bit to be desired but tough to beat for the sale price.

This may be in my crosshairs this year!
