In a bowl thicket this evening. Cut corn behind me 100 yards or so and standing corn about 250. Very quiet, no wind big thicket area with a water hole just below me. Good luck all

I wouldn't regret it... just like wny said, if there is an over abundance the bucks don't really need to seek them out and go far to find them.

I agree grow... I myself have been trying to fill a doe tag half for me and half for a family in need that I know. I feel if I can help then I should.

I think certain size instead of type would put it into light a bit more. But no matter what you will always have guys who will make the stabs and guys who will congratulate. If your talking about the younger gentleman who posted that deer with the spots, I saw that going down hill when he posted it.

It should be left up to the shooter. End of the day it's up to them, I mean they paid for their tag. I personally like to fill my freezer with a doe in all honesty. If I'm looking to fill the freezer or get meat, shooting a deer of size would only make sense to me and I don't mean rack wise I mean body size.

It's the only thing I can think of.. I get the lull and all but no night time photos. Not a great sign. I have a cam in a thicket off the standing corn and nothing there either. Very slow lol mm I hear ya. Hope it picks up soon.

Wind Is dead calm, very cold and not one deer. Seriously this has to be my worst season I've had in a longtime. I barely get 30 photos a week on trail cam. No shooters on cam and haven't even laid eyes on a deer I'd take. Haven't seen a doe since the beginning of oct. Wth is going on? No sign I have about a 1000 acres to hunt split between about 10 properties. Only concentrating on 3 farms. One I'm in now is 145 acres. 30 planted corn 40 planted alfalfa. Maybe 10 acres of corn still standing. I'd say the corn has a good amount of deer holding up in it but jeez no.deer moving in the hardwoods? Un real

Unfortunately? Long island has more popes entered then any other county. Probably pound for pound a larger number of BIG buck are taken on the island each and every year then any county in NY. This year is prob one of the better years for LI in my opinion since I have pictures of about 30 monsters taken there already not including ones I'll never hear about. Great county for deer hunting just have to find the spots. Plenty of land out east

If anything I'd leave a note on his stand and leave his belongings alone. Inform him it's illegal he may avoid the area out of embarrassment. .. if it continues get a hold of the land owner.

Remove the stands support bar? That does not sound smart. The other hunter can come back after him if he climbs in and gets hurt.

Hung probably one of my best sets the other day in a thicket right before the rain came down. I almost have to crawl to get in, almost lol. But it's nice in there series of runs with a little water feature in between cut corn and standing still. I did a mock scrape with a picking branch so we will see. Sign is still not picking up. But the home owner I have an easement through his driveway to get to this farm said be saw a giant crossing the field the other night. Said he can see his huge rack at 3-400 yards without the binos at first. Think the standing corn has a lot of deer sticking in there
