    That hide has to come off asap. Then bag that hide up.. usually after a deer is shot ticks realize their host is no longer alive and detach, when they detach from the host they head for higher ground and usually start crawling all over the fur of the deer.

    good post grow, i tell the wife all the time to be on alert. no dead deer around by me yet and still no rutting activity from what i see but its just a matter of time. i always have my eyes peeled tho

    Blew a few out on the way in. Hate when that happens. Had a 4 point running around for quite some time nose to the ground hard. Then at our had a big yote at 30 to my right. Right behind 2 sapling I was going to cut when I bung the stand in the rain but didnt. Oh well. At least I saw a deer thank god.

    Access. .. many many areas you can't hunt and access is key. Something as hunters we don't always get. If we could hunt anywhere things would be a lot different.

    Hundreds of acres in the surrounding area are all still standing. So frustrating...

    I was with the farmer combining corn the other day. Moisture was averaging 24 percent. Drier was running all day... the farm I hunt they combined half the corn and left the rest standing. It was around almost 27 percent. To wet... he won't cut it down until around Thanksgiving he said.

    I'm the same, each year every sit the quiver comes off and sits on a screw in peg to my right or a branch. I shoot better without I guess mentally. I think it makes my bow quieter and one less thing to get in the way on the shot if I have to aim in some sort of position. I was actually just talking to my dad about this.

    Didn't see anything yet again... started to rain so I decided to do some scouting and creep around. Found a nice spot for a stand with rubs and scrapes right near it so I went home gathered a stand and hung it in the rain. Feels like a nice spot but I'm starting to see a rise in yote travel through that timber. Since the yote travel I've seen a decrease in deer on tc and movement in general. Now that's not something I've had to deal with on the island. Can anyone confirm my suspicions? ?? It's starting to make sense to me

    I can agree with what you say...but I saw the pics and there are some pigs in it with him in the pic. Not saying they came in on one day but they are there

    Boy I've seen pics and read their stories of guys on LI this year and they're killin em down there. Can't belive how many big boys hit the ground. Congrats to all those lucky hunters

    I can't find info anywhere.. I'm seeing the same, all counties not turning in results yet. No reports coming in. Saw one percentage said cuomo 84 percent, rob 12 percent? No way????

    Sort of joking lolTell me after an all day sit you haven't thought about it. We are guys the stuff we think about while in stand with out women nagging in our ear is crazy lol. After an all day sit of seeing no deer I'm enduring conditions heck yeah I'd push a button and send a slammer walking by at 15 yards lmao. Rewarding? just seeing a deer while on stand right now would be rewarding with the season I'm having.
