nope its not just you, this year did fly!

So are we all almost ready for the season? what are some things we still have to do? i am pretty much done on my end. I have all the trail cam photos i need to know what lurking. The only thing i have to do is de-scent my clothes the night before and just keep shooting the bow out back. Other then that im ready!! i have all my limbs clear and lanes good to go now its time for me to stay out of the woods until Oct 1st... Oh and i have to buy another pack of Rage 2 blades. i have all my orders put in for any item i need for this season. Good to go over here! Geno

i never had an issue with them at all the would make me consider adding to Rage's design... They did a good job with those heads and i would not change a thing about them

i believe they are chiggers... i thought they were nymph ticks as well. 6 of one half dozen of the other if you ask me. they are equally as annoying and disturbing... i use the sawyer product and i have not one problem. i picked up a few nests in one of my spots and took note to how they start to drop off an die as they try to spread. i always carry the bottle with me so i can respray when i pick them up on my pants. i noticed with the nest of hundreds if not thousands of chiggers or nymph ticks i took note that the nests usually are not suspended higher then knee high 90% of the time. Keep yourself sprayed and try to be aware of how you maneuver through the woods and you should be fine.

went out to about 5 different spots, there was minimal destruction... lanes are cleared and ready. im pumped and staying of the woods until Oct 1st! got all i need to know with my cams lol.

oh ok got ya... yeah eitherway i would use it for gun up there. oh well i guess i will just have to see about next year. OR see if they have those extra tags. Hopefully someone will start a thread on that again when they hear something...

Cant the DMP be used for bow or shotgun season anyway? Or is it strictly only for gun season? i was always under the impression you could fill it with the bow also. I do not bow hunt up there i only go for gun season in 8W.

yeah maybe your right Eddie i didnt even think about that... 8w is always high for DMPs. i never would have thought id get turned down

i always fill my doe tag up there. bummed out i wont be able to take a doe this year up there. i have a ton of tags out on the island so its cool but i like to do my part in doe management for the land owner... the preference point is used automatically for next years draw?

There is plenty of land out there Karp, keep at it. Start studying some aerial shots of areas and go check the properties out.

Rob, id give it some time... i wouldnt keep going in there to check the camera. the more time you give and keep out of that area the more pics you will end up with not to mention if you do have a nice deer in there and you keep going in there you might give him a headsup as to whats coming and say good bye to him... lol i know your anxious but do yourself the favor and wait.
