This reminded me... They are talking about lowering the # of spring hunting days this coming season...in the NYODN

Because it doesn't end it...It's not until the owners get a bite taken out of their wallets do they wake up...I could shoot a hundred dogs and those owners will turn around and get a hundred more to ruin...It's not the dogs that need shooting, but there are few humans I would love to hobble...

All I know is I see more roaming dogs on our land than coyotes...I'll tell you though..I told the warden and the DEC the days of me running from these types of dogs is over...I'm getting too damned old with 2 bad knees.

What are you calling poaching? The hour shot or the fact the feeders were used as bait...BTW...they actually sell cameras specially to catch birds feeding...though this wasn't that ...The thing is each and everyone of "you" that thinks 5 mins before or after isn't poaching ...well your only lying to your self...here's why...a deer can travel a good ways in 5 mins so you shooting that deer before the legal time poached that deer from the guy/guys within a 5 min deer walk or trot from your location, getting that deer legally... I have a feeling this place is sick with poachers....hhhhmmmmm That 5 mins was to a post some days ago made ...in regards to .."I know what I would do" # of mins. is moot

Guys they have time lines given for when to put feeders out in your yard...The DEC has openly said and fined people for wildlife feeding bear,deer and turkey in back yard feeders...I have 4 out right now and a bag of feed in the car trunk...they will stay empty until end of season. I Know when they came at me in the drive.They came out of the culvert...and I didn't run...I talked low and calm and slowly walked backwards staying up right and even toned ...that's when I caught the wht. one starting to go into a crouching stalk walk...I saw it in his eyes a second later and ...Well I can not figure out how I out ran them.. I was so out of breath on the phone the operator could barely understand me and my lungs were on fire...It's a dang good thing I hadn't planned on a walk and locked the door...I knew then they were a hunting pair...I'm sure they have gotten better at it over the years as a team...my stomach flips when I catch them on cam...

DEC just called and they are coming out to investigate...they are going to look up the records at town hall and search the area...So I will give Them Kudo's on this one... We will see...at least it is an effort...more than the Dog warden...

I don't know Apex...I went to them 35 years ago with a murder plot, weapon that would be used.., victim and a psychiatrist that called me for my opinion and then they called and set up the appointment at the sheriffs office after 11 at night...and I had a possible victim sitting in a chair next to me,his wife..LOL They did NOTHING...even though a local school had a stalking injunction or what ever it's called against him. 2 wks later he shot up a restaurant and killed the guy(who was a bus driver). He got 7 years... So you tell me....

research the Kale...I let Brussels ,collards,broccoli plants in the garden they devoured ,even the Brussels stalks but left the curly kale alone...and it was a really sweet kale before the frost got it...it could be a texture thing...I'll tell you though I planted a mix with chicory in it a few years ago...I have sprayed , disced and replanted other stuff several times, and isn't that chicory still coming up and feeding the deer...

The Livingston county dog "warden" is in Geneseo...and I think a real dog lover...several miles away...The DEC has a, give em a warning attitude...so that shifts them to night time running...WTH I have told EVERYONE I'm running cams 24/7...The only time I got good results is when I called several years ago region 7..I told them reg 8 just won't do anything...the dog was eating the live deer as I drove by... so they came out to where I told them and tracked the dog back to the house...where no one would answer the door... They left a note and called me..not sure what the follow up was.....But you know...first time I shoot one...my fanny will be flying in the wind as it were....

Just got off the phone with dog warden... "If you feel threatened you can shoot them" ...I don't want to shoot them I want those owners to pay fines,fines fines...and if need be pay for put downs... So I told them I got a hold of DEC and they were understanding "You don't want to worry about walking to stands with these at large." It's been 3 or more years of this BS...I don't ever want to worry about me and River being out on the property and I SHOULD NOT have to pack a weapon when enjoying being with my grandson on my land. Again dog warden "Well I'll try to investigate but I need more info"...seriously!?You have area...clear pics,they have collars and possibly tags, and you clearly have sex...Big Males... Then told me I need to look for them when I'm out driving...

We have 4 contiguous properties all separate... Now here's the thing taxes are based here on building lot available if each parcel of vacant land has a vable building lot... our house and land is one..then acoss the street we have 2 but because they are Conjoined even though deeded separate the town's taxes them as having one building lot between them. With one having a bit high tax on vacant land. The 4th has a no residential or commercial building restriction written into the deed..So they legally can not put a high tax rate on it..

These always make me laugh... I post knowing that certain people are or could be reading...knowing someone knows or will figure out who I am..happened this year with someone asking Mr B.....Wonder if any of these guys would read his post and figure it out...That could be a game changer...Lol

Don't Diss a guy on where he chooses to live... not everyone wants a big house or land responsibility... there are high end mobile home parks.. For peet sake....engage brain and a bit of decency before engaging fingers...

Better yet a timed feeder...telling them exactly what time to show up with the sound of feed dispersing...

Cam pics...THAT SAID Biz...how many deer do we have in our freezers?....hhhhmmmm. Plots are no more a guarantee then an ag field..in fact they may hurt...getting them in a night time feeding patterns ...
