BTW we have a honey tree down at camp...it's the area I hunt when I go down to hunt them in bow season...It is a massive old hollow maple tree in our hedge row. I know we have wild hives here but the bee guy keeps putting out collection hives and taking the wilds for his hives...Then he takes them away and starts new ones...he has swarm collectors out now...This bugs me a bit...

We have always had them around but never a big problem...other than the one the DEC had to destroy on the next road over...it had a broken jaw from a car strike they figured...he was starving and breaking into peoples garages and barns. They got the call while at a bear meeting we were having on how to deal with bears in the area...lol

Thanks guys...a little discolored no black eyes and swelling is down a bit . Though man is it sore to touch...lesson learned, I can't trust the tailgate latch on the Gator...I really didn't pull it that hard...but tried it several times after and yep it is weak. Good to know if I have a load of wood or tools on and I'm going up the hill Very thankful the tailgate is plastic and I have a hard head...lol

It was last year I think and I was walking home from a hunt at dusk...I had watched a feral cat hunting in my corn plot most of the afternoon...actually hoping he'd kill one of the squirrel stripping the corn. Well didn't that cat step out in front of me walking up the road...All of a sudden an owl swooped over my head and hit that cat from behind ...it was a short scream then silence as it wrapped it's wings around it...I just stood there yelling wow in my head...It then started hopping wings still down around the cat...he hopped it off the road to the culvert and I walked by...Wild how fast he killed that cat

The Bee keeper down the road...put in a heavy duty electric fence on big 8" post and high tinsel electric wire around his hives...never had it before...I also found a rotted stump ripped apart and chunks of it scattered around...

I went down to lime the oak flats plot area and looked down to see red fur...It was scat but packed in red fur. Well we don't have red rabbits and the fur wasn't red squirrel...look to be fawn...I'm hoping the feral red Tabby I keep seeing over the last few years I should actually say orange/ red...I haven't seen an carcasses...but if it was taken to a den I probably wouldn't

So this is for you guys that have had them...do they always bleed or not? if eyes turn black and blue how long after? Not sure may have just fractured mine...no bleeding but really big bump between my eyes...The gator hitch receiver is set way back and they have a bar and cables over the pin hole...So you have to lay under it and put the pin in from the bottom...no biggy...but I reached up and grabbed the tailgate to help me up while holding the guard pipes...The gate unlatched and landed across the bridge of my nose with a resounding crack...Man does it hurt and feel strange.

Well the horse shoe plot is now the teardrop plot...It has a made bedding area in the middle...lined on 2 sides by one of the brush pile fences the middle is filling in nicely with bramble. I disced a 3 tractor width trail that connects around all of it.The oak flat plot which I haven't replanted since 2013(pic) is now disced waiting for clovers and WG. I also disced 2 trails that lead to that plot and one next to it, they will get the same planting I'm hoping to get it back to what it was in the picture......Then there was a tiny spot in front of the frog tub that I disced...it will also get the same. I then went behind the house and disced up the 2 plots that would lead the deer to what is now the corn field. I have not planted that in a few years because when the corn is cut they abandon the area...use to be used day and night...Well the corn is in late so will be cut really late...but also the hunting camp next door has the son now living there during hunting season. I want the deer traveling back and forth on our place...not coming off us going through theirs to get to our place across the road..Between him and the neighbor on the other side of him...We have the least activity...so if I feed and water(plots & koi pond), they may change back to the original travel habit

We had two walk in coolers but the guys wouldn't let me put them together..so they sat and then our son found a buyer..He's rehabing his home and a few thou. Can buy a lot of material.

Warm weather hunting Biz..We actually have 2 big upright freezers and side by side frig/freezer and 1 fridg/ bottom freezer. I like to age our venison and I have passed more deer then I care to think about because of hot weather. Not a big thing on an afternoon hunt...but trying to skin and quarter a deer in hot weather with flies about..well I have a thing about flies..you know that every time they land they crap and lay eggs...WTH!
