LOL well the first one he tried to push over with a resounding GGGRRRRRR...the next two...I think they were just holding him up....he's not 2 until the end of the month and we where out in some pretty warm weather and walked the length of the property then back, 1300ft from road to back line then 300ft down our drive... ...Still had enough energy to rock it ,,,ooopppsss... as he says boogy, to the sound track...and he's learning to sing the words and counts to eleven...I'll say seven he'll call out eight...I'll say three and he'll call out four...so it's not mimicking, he knows the sequences...

River and his Mom just left...We had a great! visit..but how can I be so dang tired...seriously you'd think I'd hand tilled two acres, not visited with my family...lol We walked the woods ...picked blue berries...he was gobbling them up just as fast as he could pick them ... picked some summer squash for them and we picked blackberries for him to eat...then headed to the house for ice tea and water...played and danced to the Troll sound track...I need a nap! He is a Joy! Wish I had the cam or phone with me...he hugged several tree....lol

My issue was I FORCED them to look at it 3 x's telling them the transmission was having problems.... this started 8 mos BEFORE the warranty lapse...the fourth time after the warrenty ran out it was "You need a new transmission" ... I freaking flipped out ...even with the records they refused to do anything THEN refused me access to the regional guy and I tried going to corporate and couldn't get through at all to any of them... it was bend over and smile because we got you and there's nothing else to do... Well ya I can let anyone who needs a vehicle know ...That's what I can do. PS.... OhhhI told them to stuff the transmission replacement up their "netherlands " with out any lube and had it towed to a place out towards Brockport,as I recall for a used or rebuilt tranny...it was worth the towing charge...

Update...Rivers gramps is home and fully recovered from the stroke...Still has issues but they can't do anything safely right now so it's a wait and see...(blockage)... But recovering fully from the stroke is GREAT for now...thanks one and all

change of plans ...Rivers coming for a visit...I'll find out how his gramps is doing....

no actually the expensive one was last years seed from the way he talked about it...the other less expensive is not due into the store until mid August... because the farmers plant in Sept...I'm happy about it because the reseeded turnips are doing poorly...They did poorly in that spot last year as well...I am going down to remove a few more trees and add a few more bags of lime...that was a new plot last year... So It will get the WR and the WW will go in the front field stripped between turnips that will go in this week. I sprayed the last 2 trail plots...they have a creeping plant the invaded them...They will get WR as well as the new upper lane way...

Well I'm not sure in the lablab...the cowpeas they said yes but the dense cover of the hemp kept them green a good amount of time and the frost did hammer that hemp. Though you have to figure when you usually get those frosts...we have years where it's warm way into Nov. and years where the first snow is the first week in Oct... It's a gamble...You could try a different type of brassica then you are using now I panted Chinese cabbage one year...The went wild for it...I just popped up here and there in the plot...once the frost hits they devour my swisschard in the garden... if you have a really good ph...regular beets even carrots. They hammer my carrots in the garden after it gets cold.. It's why I plant for them and then leave the garden gate open.... -

dang surprised you could read that,,,lol -
Two different Agways...one 28.00 for a 55# bag of WW, 22.00 for a 50# of WR.... The other ...9.00 for 50# of WW and 12 for 50#'s of WR.....gee where should I go and not only get the seed but the fertilizers too.... Wont be in untill mid August plenty of time to finish prepping the plots....

you could go with the Hancock cowpeas they sell small bags for a fair price no shipping...of course that said shipping is built into the price...they are a small seeded bean and do need a special inoculate..or the have small bags of Lab Lab. -
Fisher denied. Don't mess with my cat!
growalot replied to Steuben Jerry's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
That's a tough cat right there...wish Jade was a bit more aggressive...she sits and watches as every wild animal around raid her food dish on the porch...leaving me nasty little(not always so little) "gifts" We had a cat before jade.... Oliver...He was 3x's the size of jade and one day while I was baby sitting a pit bull I heard a screaming from the back porch play room...Oliver had that full grown pit in a corner ...fanny up above the window sill head on the rug screaming as Oliver sat on his haunches pounding that poor dogs face like Ali in a prize fight...You could hear the skin ripping....Ohh boy That was a mess and one angry dog owner... Yep your cat needs lots of love for that go around... -
Mr B.s company has been trying to get him to pick a new truck for nearly a year now...He has a Chevy but I've heard him mention they are crazy expensive for what he wants and needs for work...leaning in on the Fords again...They were his go to truck for many years when we were buying them..but the paint and body rust got to be a big problem...Our last purchase truck was the Dodge Ram but they royally did us on the transmission warranty...I won't buy another Dodge ever thanks to that. My last purchase was an Aerostar mini van for my daycare...I loved it but what a rust bucket...sold it for a good price 10 years later and the kid drove it for a really long time...Think if a good wind caught it he would have had the frame tires and seats left going down the road...lol Mr B is having a difficult time finding a crew cab with an 8ft bed in diesel

I agree with wooly and anyone notice how light colored that velvet is?

Maybe they were afraid of the deer eating the sheet....I read an article about an army base deer ...may have been from water town, not sure.....any ways it was killed and when guttefld an 8 ft parachute was found in its stomach. Appaently it started eating it and then forced to finish the whole thing or choke to death. Any how not worried about deterents but less than a buck each for those green plastic scent bottles with wicks was a steal.

Mixed green salad, grilled pizza, turkey pepperoni, blk. Olives, onions & red peppers, portabella mushrooms, cheese.

They had an 8 pack of 10 ft. rachet straps for 20.00 dollars...but in the clearance bin they had deer deterent kits...they come with 4 green plastic wick canisters and a bottle of repellent...they were marked down to 3.49. I bought 2 kits giving me 8 wick bottles with wicks for deer lure scent...I bought several different brands on sale after Christmas. Also with the rest of Gander points I had. I'll find a use for the repellent next year. One thing I did notice was two predominate and separate displays of whole corn and both were pretty low. I'd bet their bigest profit is from that and dog food each year...

Christmas tree farms, blueberry farms and logging properties all get either sex tags...bucks can do a heck of a lot of damage....
-
After this....I'm no longer hungry...
-
Well I don't know about that but Thanks nice to hear

Well the long trail plot and the small plot at it's end are a bit iffy...This is the T plot...and the end where I have had a plot for may years looks OK...but the rye didn't reseed as I had hoped...I hit it with turnips and there is a fine greass growing in it with some clovers... Not sure what happened with the spikeplot ...Some of the grains grew fastbut very thin and the peas did great ..very fast growth...but the brassicas and clovers not so much...I think that they got buried too deep or washed away or in too deep ...the rains were torrential after the planting...and it really packed the soils down as well...Then again 12 bags of lime may not have done the trick... All that said I was expecting this...all that grew there before was sheet moss. Also could be light as well ...I mention often that what you see for light in spring /early summer will not be the same late summer/fall...I see today that trees that were not shading before are now. This would not be a problem in a clover plot... but I wanted to wait and plant annuals for the first few seasons.. I need to build soil tilth in this area and work on remaining junk and dead tree cutting. So if the turnips fizzle...they got hit hard with rain yesterday...Then I will drag the whole thing lay down a whole bunch of rye grain and drag it in.

The difference will be these beans will be young and tender for the early season. Where as the others you planted some time ago ,I assume...Not looking for pods just added attraction and deer love picking and choosing around plots...keeps them in an area longer... Liken it to a flea market...you go with something specific in mind...but with so many things to seea nd pick up to look at, your there way longer them planned
