I'm going to eat a whole box, they are so good...(just hope my doctor doesn't read this, he is a hunter...and has me on Type 2 meds)!!!!!!!
-
I totally agree. This case wouldn't have been in the national spotlight if the media hadn't made it a racial issue, which they did. MSNBC they call George Zimmerman a "white Hispanic" vigilante and Trevon Martin an innocent little black kid. Get real...

behave yourself when traveling thru...

Yea Paula its been two years, seems longer though. I had retire officially from work last month, as per my doctors advice, and I'm on disability now. So I will have a lot of time to go out, I just got get in some better shape, some strength back into the body. The cancer, then chemo, then the lung being taken out was alloy to handle past 12 months, but doc says ok just take it slow. And that's what I'm going to do. I just luv the early fall days, and sitting outside for early archery will be my best medicine to date!!!!!
-
I can't wait for the fall so I can get out there and be part of the experience. Couldn't get out there cause of the chemo I was getting, but things are different this year...predators beware!!!!
-
yea it kind of a crossing point. There are woods off to the right and strip of woods and scrub brush to the left. the cornfield in the front and theres one out of sight to the rear. The farmer who leases her land cuts thru with his farm vehicles where the critters are in pics to do crops.

Heres couple pics from new Moultrie cam, I put up at my sisters property in Niagara County.
-
Yeah I sure wish NY would had approved the xbow. I'm lucky my sister lives in Niagara County not to far from me, so I have place close that I can go to hunt. CT is to far for me. I have to just get the modified permit application signed by my doctor, and send it out. They were generous with tags for you in CT, maybe NY will get with it next year and I can use my xbow close to home. Good Luck!!
-
Thanks for link Doc. Looks like what I need for my bow. I just want to be able be part of the experience, and this is what I need to be out t5here this fall.
-
Thanks, I will do little researching on it. My doctor said he will fill out the medical section on the application for the permit "No problem at all"

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the device is called that the disabled can use on their compound bow to hold the string back? I am going to apply for the modified archery permit, and want to look at what the price for the device might be. Since the crossbow is not going to be allowed this year, this will be my only option to go out for the early archery. My only problem will be to find someone to draw the bow back for me so I can go out, as I am incapable of pulling string back. And that includes drawing it back everytime I need to shoot for practice, and its been awhile.
-
It is so very pathetic....and the crossbow would be the only provision viable for some hunters with certain forms of disabilities...for some that means not being able to archery hunt again this year, myself included.
-
The politicians on that list need to be told what disabled means and that the crossbow is something that would allow the disabled hunter a way to continue hunting and that would mean more money to New York State. Haven't they heard of word the word discriminate? I will send them email and explain it to them. I guess some in Albany are "Thick as a Brick"

Happy Birthday Paula

Welcome aboard.

I'm going call my friend up later today and ask him to check with some of his other neighbors down there if they have any info about this bear if has been sighted much in that area.
-
Here are pics of bear my friend sent me, the bear was eating from birdfeeder in the neighbors yard this past week when they snapped these pics. The bear appears to be missing its front paw. This is in Machias, New York in Cattaraugus County on Tug Hill Rd area.

That's the best idea yet....LOL
-
I luv the skunk essence idea....the wind is out of the west often around here...it will head right for them
-
Your sure right about that Doc. that's why I head out to my sisters in countryside, or my friend in Catt County
-
Yea I need a nice tall fence...that would give me privacy. I feel like I have to tip-toe in early morning when I go out to water my tomatoes so I don't wake them lol...I think he did hop the fence.

I bought a new Primos trail cam, but haven't been out to my sisters property yet to try it out. So I did the next best thing and put cam up on old vent pipe outside my bedroom. Something has been killing rabbits and leaving them in yard, and I suspect the neighbors cat is doing it. So I put old live catch Havahart trap out (it doesn't work, but neighbors don't know that) on the ground near the camera so they could see it, but make them nervous about their cat getting caught. I get a kick out of the pics, these people literally are outside 24/7, both eating and sleeping. I know the cam works good, it took over 1700 pics of them living outside just last weekend alone. I get no privacy when I go in my yard!! The pics show them making up the bed for sleepout,, and pic of him in my yard getting his cat!!

I have 2001 Chev S-10 with 118,000. I enjoy it , just enough extra space but not real big either. And not to bad on gas.
