In my 40 years of shooting a bow I've never even seen one in person, let's stop pretending they're as common as an empty bottle of tanks laying in the parking area for public land. A shooting stick under the stab? Tell me you've never shot a bow without telling me you've never shot a bow.

Technology has improved . It's still held in one hand and drawn with the other when it gets shot . No rest ,no scope ,no cocking device ,no stock ,no ability to leave at full draw until it needs to be fired.

I think NY has gone very progressive lately as well , allowing crossbows during archery season will fit in nicely with the other progressive measures taken across the state the past couple years.

The guys that practice all year consider 5 in a half dollar at 40 yards a good group ,not hitting a pie plate at 20.

First deer I ever shot was a single pin , it was a 10-32 screw with the head filed to a ball in the lathe and dipped in orange model paint ,no release and no adult telling me exactly what to do in my ear the whole time. We'll save that argument for a different thread.

And let the fawns follow you out during the drag before you shoot them to cut down on the distance to drag them . Smarter not harder is what I always say.

You would think the part about it being shoulder fired with a scope off a rest would be blatantly obvious as far as the differences, I guess it takes a trained eye to spot it.
