I haven’t posted deer in a few years. Made a conscious decision not to share details for various reasons. i'm not discouraged in the least. People i know are seeing and dropping bucks. I had a tough year last year so it feels like extra self imposed pressure that's all. But if it was easy it wouldn't be so rewarding. My dad hunting about 200 yards from me last night saw 2 nice shooter doe, a bb and small 6 all within 15 yards. Man this thing sometimes...

the democrats were very much anticipating (based off polling) a landslide and a landslide indicates that the republicans are dead. In turn, it looks like the republicans will maintain the senate and even if Trump loses, it was very close. So there is no blue wave that they wanted or thought they might have. Conversely, the republicans went in knowing it would be tight all around and keeping the conservative movement alive is a win for them. Neither of these points change regardless of what happens with the election and can still be true at this time.

which is a loss for Biden all things considered even if he wins.

You said republicans are trying to remove public lands. If that was true, they would not have signed a bi-partisan bill and a republican president wouldn't have approved it. It's not complicated. I'm not a big trump fan but him signing this isn't a big republican agenda item so credit his son for getting him onboard. There's a good meateater interview with Don Jr. where he talks about the history here and of course the media barely mentions it... he himself should have brought it up during the debates and I think he missed an opportunity as many democrats are mislead in their beliefs that the republicans are all anti-eco.

I haven't been around nearly as long as many here, but in my late 30's I've seen the gun legal world swing drastically in both directions and while I don't disagree that the progressive agenda is more in your face than ever and it wasn't that long ago that a campaign would never have put out what it did on its website like what Biden has out there... I also think that this is said every major election "this is truly the one where we fight for our rights", and I'm not confident that's the case here. That being said, if it wasn't for Corona, the topic would have received a lot more attention during debates and polling, but it's just not as important as the deaths and lockdowns and rightfully so.

Catching up this morning and not surprised to see all the nice bucks taken Saturday, man was it a beautiful day in the woods and it'll go down as one of those baffling days for me on why I didn't see more action in the AM to the point that I packed up and planned to hunt Sunday AM. Saturday night of course was for the family and kind of a bummer as I knew the conditions were good... but then as we were wrapping up trick or treating and the wind was picking up and I was finishing off one too many beers looking at the full moon I knew I wasn't going out haha. Don't think I missed much and of course it's warming up as I get ready for vacation... ugh. Congrats to all the hunters punching tags!
