even without lyme there's something unsettling about a bug buried into your skin feasting off you.

that's pretty cool. wish she did some better editing though. can't hear her over the music. where do you get this stuff?

this has completed everything I have come to know and imagine about grow.

yeah that's why even on private property I'm not a fan of this hunting style. I don't mind using a gobble but the fan and gobbler imitation is risky one. Turkey hunters are probably the most notorious trespassers and it would get more attention if they had the same coveted headgear that deer do, but fact is a lot more land is open to turkey hunters than deer hunters.

this is the DEC. I would be more surprised if it WAS up to date. -

I've almost knocked myself off ladders twice even with careful planning. I bought an extension pole saw that attached to my troybilt. Doesn't get super high, but it's just not worth the risk. -
I can understand occasional accidents in wing shooting birds in the field. But even then there are practices to prevent you from swinging your barrel and peppering your buddy with bb's. It is the one time where I can at least understand how it might happen though. Everything else boggles my mind.

man you continue to blow my mind. I don't think you understand how tv works. It doesn't matter if a billion people watched his show. Eyeballs doesn't directly put money in fox's bank. Otherwise we wouldn't have adds at all. Or maybe you send Bill a check after watching him? ala HBO. The sponsors are who pays the bills. The higher the ratings the more the add costs. No sponsors, or less sponsors is less money. And "no other reason for cancelling O'Reilly"... what don't you get about 5 documented sexual harassment cases and losing sponsors as a reason?

another rookie mistake I've seen that bites people is not reviewing your cutting path on an already felled tree. It's often the little branches and twigs in the way, or if you're in the woods another sapling or something near by that will catch your chain as you're sawing. A clear path is almost always error proof. This is why you see mistakes when people are tired and fatigued. They stop prepping their cuts so that they can just "get it done". -

be careful with flannels. something tighter is your friend, just like your gloves -
maybe if the guys were doing the new turkey fan fad where you crawl and sneak... but even then you should notice there's no head. Which means no shot. This shit drives me crazy.

ok. back to the topic.

Sorry if my comment came off as directed to you. It was meant more for the audience. Us "outdoorsman/woman" tend to think not wearing PPE makes us tough, when in fact it's just stupid and in my line of work I can tell you the most abused form of PPE is hearing protection. Just want us all to be safe. -
There seems to be a misconception here that having a low or zero percent interest auto loan and a mortgage somehow means you don't have a nest egg or the ability to buy other things in life. Having a mortgage is totally normal. Having student loans is totally normal. Having a car note or 2 that you can pay and isn't costing you interest is also fine. It's credit card debt that you want to avoid.

My comments aren't hypocritical. You don't understand the difference between sexual harassment and a guy calling a girl hot and intelligent on the internet. sex·u·al ha·rass·ment noun noun: sexual harassment harassment (typically of a woman) in a workplace, or other professional or social situation, involving the making of unwanted sexual advances or obscene remarks. And to counter your second point, Bill Cosby is f'n hilarious. His shows have had amazing ratings and he was a role model to many. That has no bearing on the fact that he drugged and raped woman. Do you understand why his ratings and political views, charities etc. do not excuse his actions?

keep chainsawing long enough without hearing protection and you wont hear it anyhow. hearing protection is the most abused form of ppe because the consequences aren't immediate like with gloves or glasses. But 5, 10, 20 years from now you'll regret it. -
Again, I'm not anti-cash. Just that putting $40k cash into a truck Isn't the end all be all. Especially if you can get 0% and put that cash to work investing somewhere else.

per my note above. 25 is the best I've gotten out of a 50 mile stretch in my Silverado.

I make my living in EHS. So you can beat me up all you want but it pays the bills. I too haven't always been great with chainsaw safety. bare minimum hearing protection glasses long sleeves and pants if tree trimming/falling add a hard hat and good boots, don't really need steel toes To be real safe and smart? chaps. But I think a lot of chainsaw safety comes with how you're cutting and just planning the job out. Trees and limbs aren't 100% predictable but you can make some intelligent plans prior to just "hoping for the best". -
I have probably cycled through more balaclavas and head covers than any piece of hunting gear haha. recently I landed on the baseball cap 3/4 combo and it's my favorite. I can pull it down while hiking and pull it quickly back up when needed. No carrying an extra head piece in my pocket. http://cabelas.ca.cabelas.com.akadns.net/product/59283/cabelas-ghillie-tcs-34-facemask?productVariantId=0&fileManagerId=127628

No, in 2009 he still had a few strikes left and it wasn't public. Many of us have had a second chance or 2 when doing something dumb so long as it wasn't too bad. Like it or not, the sponsors were taking their money away because the court of public opinion settles all. Look at what's happening to united for an example. like it or not... And when you say that you've seen nothing that warrants destroying this guy I am really scratching my head. He has essentially verbally abused at least 5 woman. I'm conservative, I watch fox news on occasion and I've never minded his show although I think he's a bit pompous. But that doesn't mean he deserves blind support. That doesn't mean he has good character. I'm pretty sure I complimented her and my comment doesn't influence her employment. this and this

I see we've veered off the topic of dodge and ford. I still can't say enough about my 16 Silverado. If we're getting into mpg it's pretty solid for a truck. I think after years of problems (my Pontiac g8 has the dod), they have finally figured out the cylinder deactivation. You can actually watch it while you're driving and when cruising I'm almost always in 4 cylinder mode and I dare you to tell me you feel or notice anything when it switches. but talking about mpg with trucks has always kind of made me laugh.
