how can that be? Remember...They tell you that once its in place somewhere you can never eradicate the stuff. We had it 10 years ago behind wire and in the wild. Tell me those deer did not touch other deer? Tell me those deer did not wizz on the forest floor or other deer in that area has not eaten in those areas the last 10 years? Cant have it both ways. Its been so blown out of proportion by the aganda pushers its silly. And now after all these years CWD itself is proven that their thoughts hold no water. Now they say its in Corn and Alfalfa yet all these CWD states are top Ag states sending out millions of tons of this stuff a year all across the world. Yeah Ok! Look on the bright side..They now say Bile Acid has been shown to have an effect on the prion. You know..They cut a mouses brain up..Inject the prion into the brain and then put acid on it to kill it. Gotta love how they just keep looking for stuff to find something else. lol

True but some of us do a heck of a job with our own properties and have some hunting just like those other states. We have mature bucks chasing does in the wide open bean and cornfield, In broad daylight every year. We have so many people stop and say..Hey there we were wondering if we could hunt? There is a huge buck running around down near that pond right now! Ny can be a great hunting state for most parts but other parts of the state never will be. Just the way it is in most all states. The part i dont get is people complaining about poor hunting in their area. A 2 hour trip in many directions will put hunters in deer rich areas with great hunting. The old saying of..(You get out what you put in) holds true in most cases.

Very few real deer are ever taken over any kind out bait. the youngest and dumbest most times. Glad you didnt jump the gun and Drop a Dime on this guy with a 911 all alert get the sheriff up in his long johns phone call like some others here would have.

No, making things that are not my business ,My Business is the problem. Thats one of the biggest problems in this screwed up world. You take care of yourself and the world will be just fine. Someone comes on your land, gets in your face or has anything to do with you on a personal basis then by all means do what ya gota do but to be Mrs busy body sticking your nose where it does not belong could very well bite ya in the ass someday. I have to admit that if it does happen to a couple of ya i sure will snicker and say i told ya so!

As far as the dipstick on post #8..Like it really matters how and where that buck got as big as he is..Time got him where he is today. He didnt get shot as a baby....You know about those right? That is a stud for sure and just what most all whitetail bucks would look like if left to grow long enough. Many will never know the feeling of shooting a true whitetail stud but if the Op gets his hands on this one he will know the feeling. I hope its in early/mid November with a huge swollen neck and steam coming out of those nostrils!!

If it has nothing to do with me,my family or my property i am not getting involved. There is no pussy or coward involved in anything i personally do. Come anywhere on the 4 properties that i pay taxes on and see what the outcome will be. I was brought up taught to keep my nose out of others business and i expect the same from other. If i need your help for something i will ask for it. As far as deer go....Thats a joke. There are plenty of them to go around and if some joker thinks a salt block or bag of apples is going to get them a new record buck or something is foolish. They will kill the dumbest deer in the woods, fill their tags..if they want..and be done. I am not going to hold or slap someones hand for breaking a law.....I guess you ride around taking down plate numbers of people talking on their cell or running a stop sign? Way back when...Like 30 years ago..Letchworth State park had 100.s of deer standing on the side of the road as you drove thru the park..There were deer up at our hunting camp in Barney Pond. Pa had so many deerit was a scary trip to visit family in West Virginia every year and we used to count the dead and alive deer we saw along the road on our way thru and came up with crazy number. Back then you had to have 3 people on a party permit to hunt the park. You had a backtag you filled in with pen and had to mail back and doe tags were like taboo. The DEC has went to both ends of the spectrum with our whitetails, Most didnt turn out well. People now complain because the park has no deer to hunt- There are plenty of deer on that park. Many areas in the Northern tier have no doe tags and Ar because there are no deer and many places in the South are not over ran by deer. Until they find a way for hunters to get to the deer in the areas they need thinning then nothing will change. P!ssing off a wole group of hunters(Bow) and doing the same to the landowners in those areas..Tell them they cant shoot something on land they burn money and sweat..Let alone taxes..into is not gaining them any friends thats for sure. Antler and Doc are both right but neither side is going to budge. Being told you cant do something in hunting when people hold it so dear at heart is going to cause problem's...Kinda like dropping a dime on someone for something they did and they lose their hunting.....You will have problems.

You can entertain any thoughts you like..I can only tell ya what i have seen myself and trust me..There are many out there that will show ya just how much that their business is none of yours. At the drop of a dime!

Awesome..I am thinking on pulling the trigger on one of these after this year. If it ever gets into the season 100% i am sure many would do the same. They say take a bar of soap and rub it on the bolts and they come out a little better.

Thats the point Larry, Read the words they print. Words like..Could,Can,Possible,Chance and so many more. Nothing proven..Scare tactics at its best. Why doe they say that it CAN or COULD be transmitted through Saliva when they do not find the prion? Why do they say it COULD be spread in whitetail urine when in fact they have never found the prion in urine and that is even from 100% node and brain tested positive deer. Man infected the prion into urine in the lab, Stuck it into a rat and that rat became positive..Well thats all good and well but we sure are not running around injecting prions with needles into whitetails. You are also somewhat right on the Ny Cases. First the guy was a taxidermist accepting heads from out west and just throwing the material around. Second he was a wildlife rehaber with a permit by the state of Ny and givin fawns from the wild to rehab.for the state. They do not know if the cases came from the taxi work or the fawns brought in by the state but the fact is there were cases on both sides of the fence. The same state vet that tested those animals is also my state vet. They say CWD will kill a deer when it gets CWD and that very well may be true but there has never been a proven case of a deer 100% killed by CWD and 99.9% of animals tested positive were healthy animals shot by humans or killed by their bumpers. The Federal Govt has pulled all money for testing animals for CWD and left it to the states to do if they so wish. The states are not testing any number of animals to worry about this disease.as is proven by number like Michigan that tested like 43 whitetails out of the 10's of thousands killed in that state last year. When farms in CWD positive states like say Wisconsin are selling corn all across the country that could be sitting on the shelves of your local Tractor Supply store in Ny state they know there is nothing they can do. They know its not killing deer. I guess this gets us a page closer to the big 50 but as was asked...This is not the thread to have a CWD dispute.

Very true...It does not involve you and yours...You are better of staying out of it! There is a very good chance that it will come back and bite ya. Did you not read the post on the other thread where the guy even left a note whom to call and get their trespassing stands back but they decided to break into buildings to look for them instead???? Do you think these people are done with the guy that took their stands? I highly doubt it..They will be back and now this guy that did no wrong will be looking over his shoulder forever. Thats not even close to the point of this discussion and no i would not blame them if they did not call the cops...I would be pissed if they did not tell me if asked, yes. If your little story played out as was written you can bet your sweetest shotgun that there would be no phone calls made to the cops to retaliate on my end of things.... I would take care of that problem myself in my own ways, To rat someone out will get you your little story to come true real fast and that was the point i was trying to relate to the other poster. Sounds like so far he has ratted on people that do not know it was him that ratted or he has been lucky enough so far not to rat on the wrong one. These days you stick your nose in the wrong business of someone else and you will get that nose broke. Simple as that!

You did well grasshopper....lol Rather than drop a dime or snitch on a salt lick you did just what most normal people would have done. Myself, I would have attached a signed little note just to inform him who the nice guy was that didnt call the law for the destruction and did not own a new stand but now, after you made the first nice gesture....The next time would result in a little different mindset. I do have to say that either this guy thinks he can hunt this land and has the ok to do whatever he wants or he is really brazen. Probably not much of a hunter with the wheeler trail to the stand.
