All was well and fine untill someone had to knock it down. Maybe it should have been left alone.Just my opinion!! We all get one remember!

I believe this question fit right in with the subject!!! We were talking about letchworth and he asked a question about letchworth!! Maybe his question about others opinions and deer numbers was just a joke!! Either way i believe its right where it should be and should be left alone!!!

It shows you are clueless on the subject, Nobody asked your opinion on the subject but you just like to keep throwin little jabs about the subject. Its none of your business how,what or where someone else hunts so i see no need for you to keep throwin the crap around! As far as the cwd goes it shows that you dont even know the facts of how it even became in Ny State so you might want to leave that to someone in the know!! Fenced hunts???? Did you not just make the remark on another post that high fence was not hunting!! Now you refer to fenced hunts. When you spew off about cwd, Something that clearly shows you were clueless about and then remarks about how a farmer runs his business!! If it has nothing to do with you or effect you then why the comments?

Well if thats the case it may be best to leave the stick where it is. Throwing opinions around at someone else's demise does not say much for yourself but if thats what gets ya off, Have at it!!

Well im glad someone on here knows some of the story anyways. Never heard of the bringing in of wild deer. That sounds kinda strange. As far as Mad Cow... Never in a deer. As far as selling to other farms with a problem, I dont see how that can be seeing though there were no other cases. They believe the wild deer came in contact with the salt and remains of the deer from out west that he dumped in the woods on his property. Bottom line is that cwd came in from out west and untill there is a law in place that stops all hunters from bringing in deer parts from other states, It could happen again!!

If you think Tinks is any good. Grab a bottle from your store,Pour it in a glass and look at the color...Whens the last time you saw a deer piss brown?

Are you freakin serious...You of all people dont know how cwd came about in New York??? Now that is a joke.... Yes it was found on a farm, Why do we know that?? Because we test!! Now you tell me how it got on that farm and how it got into the deer outside the pen!!

Yup no doubt, But with the chance of it even being out there why would you not make sure that we are not throwing it around if by chance one of the deer we kill have it. There is so much thats not known about cwd, Like is it passed around by the yote or the bird that eats the cwd infested deer. Just would be on the safe side to dispose of them somewhere where there would be less chance of passing it around. In my humble opinion anyway!!

Does anyone ever think about CWD when you throw them back in the woods?

And that must have made you feel like the top hunter in the area. To kill a baby, The dumbest deer in the woods.... I guess it goes without saying that you dont have what it takes to kill a mature buck or atleast one that makes the slot.

Thats not real bright on any of their part. City or farmer!!! To have more brown on than orange in any part of the tier is stupid and to do that same thing on letchworth on opening day is asking for a slug in the ass!!! Trust me.. The guys i saw lived in the city but were born in another country... If ya get my drift!!!!

You will have to read the post again!!! I said take it if its good and leave it if it does not make the cut. Said nothing about illegally taken deer. If they were legal...They were taken... Hunt around Rochester and you can tell the city folk, They are the ones with the brown carharts on...

No im talkin about the guys from the city or people that dont hunt much and dont care. They see bone,they pull the trigger and if its good they take it and if not...there it stays. Thats called mis-identification.

I agree there will be some left in the woods but most of them will come from the ones that have the gound check way of thinking or the ones that will shoot anyways and pull the loins and hams. Yes it will make people slow down and look to see what they are shooting at. That is what will make the law work and do what it was intended to do.....Save the younger bucks.

Thats what i was thinkin!!!! Looks like he is 7 by 5. Kinda hard to tell. He might have 6 on the right side. No matter....That is what its all about right there and anyone including Doc that says its not worth having AR to make more mature bucks like that...Well,Whatever...Let someone that has never taken a mature buck like that and they will never drop the hammer on a baby buck again!!!

Like maybe last year when myself and a buddy were coming up out of the bottom of letchworth opening day and came across this guy from rochester draging out a crotch horn he shot alone almost at the bottom. We saw him at 2.15 in the afternoon and he shot it at daylight. The guy was dead tired from draggin and we talked for a bit. My buddy asked him if he had hunted here before. Yup this is my second year. Well guess what.... I was not tellin him he had a ticket and probably thrown off the park for killin and buck without 3pt on a side. 2 years and dont know the rules.......Yeah right doc.....Those are the guys you are tryin to protect, HaHa , Ignorance wont cut it!!!!

Just a warning for those that really care where the pictures come from......This months cover shot on Outdoor Lifes cover is a shot of a buck at Apple Creek Whitetails Farm and Ranch!!! He's a brute!!!

I believe that is hogwash. It will be the hunter that slams that finger on the trigger at the first sign of bone that will have the problem. I really dont care what anybody else shoots either as long as its legal. I wish i had a dime for every time i have had someone talk about a small buck they shot only to come right behind that statement with a reason why he shot it. He himself is not really proud of that buck if he has to make an excuse for killing it. But he did get to say he shot a buck!!! Thats what matters with many and thats ALL that matters with many more!! It does have everything to do with the person doing the hunting. There are steps a hunter takes in his hunting career and the young hunters will be the ones that this hurts the most to a point. BUT there are rules in place like on letchworth that allows young hunters to take any buck they wish!!
