  1. She should have lost that winter coat in May! She might end up being ok but she no doubt has/had a problem. I have never had one hold their winter coat after may and most times in the wild with more Grass,Branches and such rubbin against them they lose in even quicker.
  2. No that is a doe that never shed her winter coat by the looks of it. Hard to tell the reason. She could have been hurt or sick. If you look close you can see the long guard hairs in her coat and she still has the fuzz around her head and face!
  3. I am still trying to figure out how they can take a stance against deer farming and fair chase hunts and then have an auction with high fence hunts on a breeding farm to raise money for them. I really would like to get involved and i am interested in our area. Just cant seem to swallow this one?
  4. Yes sir, Thats why there should be a one buck per season rule with a law that forces reporting harvests and heavy fines and loss of the following years tags if caught not reporting or caught with someone else's tag. Any take that can not be transferd and i would like to see that done away with.
  5. Dont fool yourself..DEC does not need our support. They do that just to make it look like it matters. You will see AR statewide in a couple years!!!
  6. Well maybe not no damage permits but limit them down and make the farms allow hunters on their property to hunt. Way to many farms get way to mant DMAP'S and then a hunter asks to hunt and you get.Nope only family hunts.. I know some farms down near letchworth that are that way and they get like 60 plus tags. Reports and have also found dead deer on the park with gut shots in them during bow season. I realize some need them but i also think some are givin way to many. Open the door to some hunters and there would not be so many deer and so much crop damage!! As far as AR, I think NY could be a great trophy state with AR, 1 buck per hunter and shorter seasons. Looks like that wont happen any time soon with an oct 1st opener in the tier to match the northern zone.
  7. 12 gauge- Pumpkin Balls. 20 gauge- Sabots 243 Rem 300 Wby Mag 50 Cal Knight Inline 30-30 Win Bow- To many to remember.
  8. I agree 100% on the tag deal. I dont know how they would do it, Maybe a manditory check station to get your next tag. Something so your name and numbers are on record somewhere. People will find a way aoud it no matter what law the put inj place. I have always said the dec has really no clue on the true population in most of the counties. There are so many that fill others tags and dont report the kill and i know of many that dont report their own kills and never have.
  9. I think AR should be statewide. No damage permits. 1 buck per season, Year round on yotes.
  10. From what i hear the sportsmen of wisconsin will be in better hands with this guy.
  11. Dont forget about being able to carry over unfilled tags into bow season. Early bow Sept 27th with previous years tags!!!
  12. Great pic's...Nice lookin puppy also. I think the only thing that would make that middle pic any better would be a struttin tom sittin in that tree to the left in the pic!!!
  13. Have to disagree with that one. We have over 700 acres of beans this year and over 150 birds on the farm any day. It was corn last year and there were less birds then. Maybe it was just a good hatch and there were more birds this year but trust me!!! They like soybeans!!
  14. Myself..Nope.. But but wil probably open the gate for a father,Son team this year!!!
  15. Awesome pic and man what a spot for a log cabin home with a wrap around porch. There has to be some great sunsets from that lookout!!
  16. This pic was taken a little while back but they are all still here. Now there are probably 20 strutters in the group and they are starting to spread out into the other soybean fields. At this pic there were upwards of 150 birds in the one flock.
  17. I would have to say that little dude in the front is just that....A Dude!!!
  18. All you can do is explain to them the real meaning of wildlife. There is always something looking to eat them. Then when they get mad and tell you to yake them out,you go get the live trap and put a little tuna in there. Once the problem coons are relocated...Forever... You can get them some new fish!!! Good Luck!!!
  19. Yes sorry for your loss. I lost a hunting partner and old friend last year. I still believe he had something to do with me taking that book 8pt last bow season. It was one of his favorite places on the farm to spend his time!!! I'm sure your old buddy will shine down on you also!!
  20. I do and i also give them my opinion on what has been working for scent guys for years. Which is just what i am doing. He in no way has to take any advice i put on here just as he does not have to listen when somebody calls your product BS. As i said..just my humble opinion on what has worked for many in the past. Take it for what its worth!!! By all means please go back.. Read my post and put back on this site where i knocked his product. I as a potential buyer asked a question from a company that is selling a product to the general public. Do tell.
  21. Fudd again clueless as to your comments. There was never ever a word about me selling scent on this site or any site because i do not collect scent at this time. There is no 3rd degree on my part. All i offered is my opinion as if i was going to buy a doe in heat scent i would want to infact have a urine that i knew 100% that it was doe in heat. Collected at her highest point in her cycle. There is only one way to be 100% sure of that. If your not real sure of that yourself..Well........
  22. Tug i believe you mean CIDR (controled internal drug release). I believe anyone that sells pure in heat doe urine should bring all does into heat at the same time. I believe thats the only way to be 100% sure of the product you are offering is infact what it is. I guess they use a buck to have an idea a doe is in but that i believe would be a little iffy as bucks will chase, rub on and just act goofy around the does any time in oct and nov..
  23. Not to knock your product as its good that ny allows us to raise deer for these reasons. My question would be how could you sell doe in heat(estrus) if you dont know they are infact in heat(estrus) I mean if you have say 5 does in the building and infact only one of them is in and they make 1 gallon of urine and you freeze it it really would just be urine because the 4 not in heat would overpower the one that was in!!
  24. What time of year do you collect the doe in heat? What is your process of collecting estrus lure!!
