  1. Marriage is about compromise. When i met my wife she was anti-hunting, she vowed never to eat anything i killed or ever shoot a gun. The reason she felt this way was because all she knew about hunting and guns was based on what see saw on tv or read in the news. She was a city girl who never saw a gun until she met me. In our 14 years together she has seen how much i enjoy it an how it keeps me out of trouble. Even though i know she would never be able to shoot an animal, i got her to shoot a gun for a first time and she is the first person in line when i make veison chili.
  2. i put my name and my upstate adress on my signs. Don't want anyone to know owner lives downstate.
  3. Bingo! Its all baiting. No difference if its a food plot or piles of bait.
  4. I think half the people that live upstate bait their deer. Legal or not.
  5. No fruit on any of my trees this year. I don't think it was a late frost as my trees didnt really have many blossoms to begin with. I think the harsh winter we had may have damaged most of them.
  6. I was just worried that it would kill the tree. No fruit on it this year as the trees are still small. I will spray them this winter. What do I spray them with?
  7. I planted 5 reliance peach trees on my property. Went up this weekend and saw that they all had these red spots all over the leaves. Can anybody tell me what it is and how i can treat it.
  8. I agree doc. I hate hearing the same BS "i didn't see any signs" argument. I have mine set about 75 ft appart.
  9. I use old seed all the time here in my vegetable garden. Just have to plant more seeds as some wont sprout. The longer it sits the less will sprout.
  10. Seems like some people cant see them if there 5 ft apart still walk right past them. If i had enough of them i would put them on every tree. GET THE MESSAGE. Cant give me some BS argument that you didn't see them. Come on people just ask, is it that hard.
  11. My feed blocks are the 20 acres of cornfields boarding my property. lol.
  12. I had a problem when i first bought my property. Lots of tresspassers as land was abandoned for a while. But once the locals noticed there was a new owner, they backed off and i don't see anyone now. First opening day i must have warned 10 people to stay off my property. They got the hint. I don't mind if you ask permission. If you see new POSTED signs would you just keep on walking?
  13. They are starting to fade now and this will be the fifth year they were put up. I will probably be reposting the property this year. I don't mind reposting every few years if its only costing me a few bucks. The hard plastic ones last much longer and maintain there color. I have a few of those by my gate and they still look pretty good. But they are much more expensive. I think over $1 per sign.
