  1. Great pics! They do look they have a bit of an attitude! LOL
  2. I really need to learn how to trap these things! I had one put the stalk on my turkey decoys during the youth season. It circled downwind and busted out of there. My daughter was thrilled to be able to see one. I must have her brainwashed, as she despises them already!
  3. I've had 3 cams out and everytime I check pics, I have pics of coyotes! I have one cam in a plot ~40 yards behind the cabin and one cam ~60 yards in front of the cabin in another plot. I get pics of coyotes at these cams all the time! They don't seem the least bit concerned about being so close to the cabin!
  4. First fawn pic of the year. Not a great pic, but a pic all the same! Sure is a little fella! I hope the coyotes in the area don't find it!! I have 3 cams out and when I checked them today, I had pics of coyotes on 2 out of the 3 cams! (One cam is set up 80-100 yards from the spot where I got the pic of the fawn...)
  5. Congrats on you're first!! Great Bird!!
  6. I see deer targets set up in residential areas, where their not suppose to be shooting, and think how stupid (and irresponsible) they are! It's not just about a backstop, but also what would happen if they accidentally pull off on the shot (arms get tired, mosquito bites at the wrong time, etc...) causing the arrow to hit the edge of the target, deflects, and ends up God only knows where? Very worrysome in residential areas!!
  7. This post reminded me of a little experiment that I tried a few years ago. I wanted to see what nest raiders in my area would take advantage of a nest first. I made a mock nest with a few chicken eggs and hung a cam to watch it. After a week or so, I checked the cam. A crow broke the eggs, but I later got an interesting video of a hen turkey that came in and ate every last nugget of the shells! I didn't expect to see that!
  8. Oh, OK. Was this the only one you found?
  9. When I first saw the pic and where the shell was, predators were the first thing that came to mind. It looks like one carried it away from the nest and ate the contents.
  10. Too funny!! He's just practicing on that deer!! Great pics (as usual)!!!
  11. Unbelievable! (Had to delete what I origionally wrote, as it wasn't very politically correct.......)
  12. LOL!! Gotta laugh as salads are the only thing that I've gotten from Mcdonalds now for the past few months! AND, that's about the way I feel too!!!
  13. Sorry for your loss. Sounds like he had a great last day.
  14. WOW!! What great pics!! They sure are cute.... when they're young!!
  15. Great pics! I love my Bushnell Trophy Cams...
  16. Hope you get to put your tag on one tomorrow! Sure sounds like you've been putting in your time!
  17. Been seeing and getting pics of woodchucks in my plots and right near the cabin. Thought I better try to take a couple out, before they multiply and/or burrow under the cabin or sheds like they did a couple years ago. Shot this big female this afternoon. She was damn near as long as my .223 compact!! LOL I was very surprised that the exit hole was only about as big around as a pencil! Not much bigger than the entrance hole! I shot it in the back of the head and it came out near its nose. The last few that my son shot with this gun, it made an exit hole about the size of a baseball!
  18. Very nice!! Those pics couldn't get any nicer!
  19. I've never heard or seen one of these critters before. I did some reading and they are scattered throughout NY. The one link says that adults are from 10-20". The one in the pic sure looks a lot longer than 20"! Then again, they all look big to me! http://www.dec.ny.go...essersnakes.pdf http://www.dec.ny.go...mals/44654.html
