    All settled in. 36 degrees, very slight breeze, coffee in thermos, hot soup, energy drink for an afternoon pick me up, now I just need the deer to come out and play! I was in this stand last evening. It was slow, so I was texting. I heard something directly behind my tree. For once, I was thinking, "Please let that be a squirrel", but no.... 2 fawns, a big doe and another unidentified deer busted me from 15 yards when I tried to stand and get my bow! LOL Oh well! Could have happened just as easily if I was eating, taking a leak, or closing my eyes for a bit! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Left the stand at 1:00. At 1:15 I had to lock the breaks up on the truck to avoid hitting a big ass lone doe that blew across the road in front of me! Think I could have counted the hairs on her chin she was so close! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    It was dead this morning in the rain. It stopped raining at 10::00. Saw a 7pt at 9:40, a spike at 9:55, then a 6pt and 8pt walked by together at 11:00. I tried grunting to them to get them close for pics, but they paid no attention! Not sure if I'll stick it out until 1:00 or leave and come back later. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Was just drizzling on my way in, but wore rain gear anyways. Decided to put up the umbrella before first light, just incase! Glad I did! Coming down pretty good right now! Oh well... get it out of its system before daylight. Accuweather still says showers ending by 9am. I brought a thermos of coffee and a thermos of hot soup, incase the action was good after the rain and I wanted to sit all day. Wishful thinking!? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    I keep all my stuff in the truck. Thank God I went into the back room to get a spare hat this morning, inase I need a dry one. I forgot I put my boots on the boot dryer yesterday!!     Kills me how different sources have different forecasts too! And then they change frequently, so you really never know. Typically, I've found that weatherunderground is a bit more reliable though. Accuweather says showers ending by 7am tomorrow, then a risk of a shower between 10am-11am, but no rain for the rest of the day. WeatherUnderground says rain all morning tomorrow until 11am, then it starts back up again at 4pm continuing all night. I kinda shop around until I find one that I like best.

    We lowered the price to $123,500 last night, hoping to sell before winter. The realtor changed the price on their website, but not on the Craigslist ad yet. Loft upstairs for beds. Sure would like to see it go to a good home...

    I checked 2 trailcams this morning that were on my way to my stand. Since Monday, all the activity on the cams was from 9:30am-3:00pm.

    I saw him last week in that same spot. I took a 2 min long video of him eating acorns ~15 yards away. Thought I would make a mock scrape there and see if it would get any "love". I got several pics of him working that licking branch.

    Got this pic recently and noticed something that I had missed, while scrolling through the pics on my phone. This 8pt is working a mock scrape that I made last weekend. You can see my ladderstand on the left side of the pic. But what I didn't notice earlier though is the little doe laying at the base of the tree in front of him.
