And you know this based on what? Do you have Ph.D. in Turkey Studies? All I'm saying is that nothing will be predictable this year, we had no winter, I saw swarms of bugs on March 3rd in my backyard, the ticks are already going nuts, we go from 70 to 20 degrees within 48 hours, weather has been nuts this year and I as many others just worry about the impact on the hunting season...spring turkey included....that's all...your 3 phases theory can pound sand this year if you ask me... :-) Peace out !!!

WOW, 200 yards that's a stretch, I would shoot my MQ1 to 50-100 yards but 200? you have to be kidding me...Bravo Zulu Kid...

Not for nothing noodle, but that's governor's discretion, you don't have to be in the military or die for your country in order to have the flags at half mast, you have to be "a person of significance" if I remember that correctly...right, wrong or indifferent that was Christie's call... just saying....

Easy there haters !!!! Tebow is good for NY, for starters he is better than Sanchez, having two young QBs is a good problem to have. Congrats!!! I was waiting for mine for 17 months, ugh!!!! Check out SIG P250 in 9mm modular gun and you can change the calibers if you so desire later for a fraction of the new gun. It has DAO trigger (double action only) and it has a long trigger pull so its not for everyone. I personally love it and it is smooth as butter.

I did but no one said "go ahead or hell no" , the land belongs to Con Edison (according to the town hall papers) and like I said I have permission to hunt north and south from it. I guess I will "try" not to trespass....and see what happens...:-)

That's what I was thinking, I do have a permission on the adjacent land on both sides so I figure that's OK for me to cross it, just wanted be fair with the land owner, you know how touchy some people get, even on this board...:-)

Not sure I would recommend garbage bags, aren't they chemically treated? I don't want that stuff on my meat. As far as the cargo hauler, I use it all the time they work great, look at tractor supply stores they have good prices too....

I have a great deal of Con Edison powerlines around my county and was wondering if you guys hunt on the power companies properties and how do you get the permission (if any)? I tried to call ConEd to no avail, getting run around "we don't do that" and "I have no idea" kinda responses. Do you have similar issues and were you successful in getting a permission to hunt there? Let us know.

Nice "article", JD has at least some "testicular fortitude" to speak about the elephant in the room. I kinda agree violence will never go away and we need to learn how do deal with it. Not that I agree with everything he says, far from it, but his point regarding violence is valid. Check his other books and articles, an interesting read. Good catch Grouse :-) -
more bugs = more disease spreading, it is truly mixed bag, good for the deer and good for the ticks, can't have mild winter and no bugs during the summer. I have also already spotted swarms of bugs baking in the setting sun this early in March, this is unheard of....I'm ready to wear my new summer cologne Off! "Deep Woods" by SC Johnson company :-)
