One more week until his bunny suit appearance... -
No fan of the governor, but no sense in beating Cuomo up over the lack of foresight in not purchasing ventilators a few years ago. It happened, but lets help the people that need the help now. Hospitals, send what equipment you can, and insist on being placed more to the head of the line for ventilator replacement, when they come off the manufacturing line. Seems like the best we can do at this time.

Will be interesting to see how that anti-Malaria drug is doing on those 1100 or so patients. If drug works, and is administered to the sick, that should take the pressure off the ventilator need. Cuomo should be investigated for not being prepared/minding the medical store in his state. -

He was not a politician when he ran....that's the beauty of this. Good to see a positive change. -

Government was tied down for a time with Impeachment. That didn't help . Trump has his flaws, like the rest of us, but he is trying to do a good job for all, given the swamp he had to wade through. -

I'd be more concerned with Lyme tick buggers than corona. -

Yep, you are correct that Cuomo would throw up a travel ban to NYC quickly, if the situation were reversed. I see some NYC people renting Ski chalets in Ellicottville NY, a now closed ski resort, located south of Buffalo, so as to escape NYC, and I suppose Ohio and Pennsylvania people too. Ellicottville has now removed the "Welcome" mat and is trying to get those homes and chalets removed from those home rental sites, to discourage others from trying to travel to WNY. Better to contain the virus, than to encourage travel out of hot spots. Tough situation, but it is what it is. -

People leaving NY State in droves...Now I read Cuomo is suing Rhode Island because RI is blocking possibly infected virus carriers from NY from traveling into the state. Quite the unifier that scum Cuomo is. -

I read that Rhode Island and New York are at odds with New Yorkers trying to flee to Rhode Island to get out of Dodge, due to the virus. Rhode Island Governor is blocking the flow of vehicles with NY plates into RI. Cuomo is suing RI because of this action. Seem to recall Democrats saying, not too long ago down on the southern border that "it's not who we are as Americans" to deny illegals from crossing the US/ Mexico border, seeking a better life, and no barriers and stuff. What's wrong with RI blocking Americans now wanting to escape NYC and cross over into RI??? I just find it interesting watching Socialist/Democrats mostly starting to eat each other over boarder policy now. Did not seem to matter a little while ago. -
Man-o-man, I see another episode of "Iron Chef" out of all this, with bat as the secret ingredient.

Any port in a storm...If the dorms are a suitable alternative, then the powers to be should look into it and try to keep the hot spots isolated as much as possible. If overflow looks like a possibility, them move people upstate. I assume ventilators work on 120 volt circuit...dorms have 120 volt...plug it in and good to go, or do they run on 240 volt.? -
Buy a Rynoskin undergarment for good protection from the little bastards.

The national comedy center, that was built in Jamestown a few years ago, was aided in it's construction with a 14 Million Dollar grant from NYS. Now, I suppose people really like the comedy center, but maybe, just maybe those funds could have been better spent elsewhere. Around the time that the center was opened, the sewage treatment plant in Olean went off line, due to a power outage. I believe the city was relying on a smaller back-up generator to cover for an outage, because the larger main back-up Gen was unrepairable, and the city was waiting for state funding to buy a proper main back up generator. Well, during the power outage, the smaller back-up failed and untreated sewage was dumped into the Allegany river. Before the outage and treatment plant shutdown issue, the City of Olean was having trouble securing funding from the state, for main back-up generator equipment. To me, making sure that essential services are properly funded and operational trumps a check, aiding the construction of a comedy center, and on a larger scale, purchasing essential medical devices like ventilators would seem to make more sense.. I guess thinking will change now, given the health problems, when it comes to prioritizing spending tax dollars.

Democrats Nix Stimulus Bill With Add Ons
Merlot replied to Steve D's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Dems may have cooked up this whole virus thing with the Chinese, so as to try one more time to get rid of Trump. Chinese don't care if they loose a couple hundred thousand in population and the Dems, as you say, have no limit to what they will try to regain power. Dems saw long ago that they had no candidate to beat Trump, so why wouldn't the socialist bums not try to create a perfect storm to take power and rescue the swamp. I have not heard about the voting fraud/ mail thing. I have heard that the 2 Trillion dollar stimulus grenade Piglosi served up yesterday, was full of crap spending. Sneaky witch it is, that Piglosi. -

The dog will be fine at home. No need to bring pets everywhere. -
Maybe cast a line into either Case Lake or Harwood Lake in Central Cattaraugus county. Can park and walk to the lake a short distance. Trout and bass. I guess it depends on where you live.

I agree with you on Cuomo. He's doing the best he can. Thank God Dementia Joe isn't in charge on the federal level. Trump is doing as well as he can, given the swamp he's wading through. -

After this is over, I can imagine lots of people selling properties and bugging out of metro areas...if they can sell the properties.
