  1. Would it be illegal since I live in town? I can't legally shoot in my back yard.
  2. You guys have got me thinking now. The third floor in the building I live in is gutted, been empty for years. The building is 72 ft-76ft inside (I was just counting ceiling tiles, estimated for the guy across the hall, lol). There is even a 1/4 loft area that is open to get an elevated position. Hmmm
  3. The names Del Gue.. WITH AN E!" I love that movie... Jerky is going quick...
  4. "one shot, dropped him like always, the remington holds true" LOL AHAAAAAAHAHAAAAAAAA
  5. I hear ya, I might as well start a new batch now. lol
  6. Thanks WNY, I already ate a bunch anyway, nom nom.
  7. I am trying out my dehydrator for the first time, and I have 2 questions. First it is supposed to crack when bent in half, I bend it and it gets some small cracks, it is still pliable and doesn't break. I assume that's what they mean. Second how many of you bake it for the 10 minutes after, the directions word it like it is a disclaimer (i.e. Federal Gov't recommends blah, blah, blah).
  8. Beginning of the video he says "...Bill is putting on a drive for me."
  9. I am a bit jealous Manager, good luck!
  10. What are you watching the wizard of oz or somthing?
  11. Exactly why I posted what I did. Maybe my bad experience will help someone down the road.
  12. I've had two experiences with hindquarter shots. The one this year with my scope being off on my muzzleloader. The deer went 100 yards and bedded down, luckily I hit the femoral artery and it bled out quick. It sucked watching that thing run off on three legs like a bat out of hell. The second was about 8 years ago when I was hunting with a friend. He took a shot similar to the second shot in the video. There was no snow on the ground, the deer went about 100 yards and bedded down in a thicket. He tried to find it but couldn't. So we recruited my bro and those two worked the thicket and I went up on the Railroad tracks and they walked where it when into the thicket next to the tracks. The deer eventually came out of the thicket and I blasted it as it was crossing the tracks about to cross a stream onto posted land behind a house. He took a high risk shot that almost ended up with the deer not being found and the hindquarter was shredded. He is one of those hunters that has great shooting ability but takes high risk shots to "anchor" deer. I have been with him and told him not to take certain shots that he took anyway and ended up dropping the deer, but it has become clear he loses more than he finds. Note: The point of this post is to give you an idea why I make the decisions I do, not to backhand someone into submission. Take it for what you will.
  13. Group hug? I was thinking we could regroup and start arguing from new angles . I just don't want anyone to think I am a narrowminded DBag. lol
  14. Guys I respect all of your decisions, I found that something that I felt was unecessary, and was just speaking my mind as all of you are.
  15. It was a joking response to Pygmy's statement. The only real problem with the whole thing I had was when he shot at #2, didn't have a good shot in my book but popped it in the hindquarter. It is a forum, we are all free to speak our foolish minds.
  16. WNY those were responses to meatmanagers statement that the only reason the general public allows us to hunt is for population control. relax a little.
  17. I guess I happen to be a sissy who can kill a running deer but chooses not to. Maybe the hat trick will change my mind
  18. Will do, I go with my buddy who's uncle owns the land. The uncle lives in Alaska so my buddy has the run of the lot.
